What do you mean by reserve it? If you have already created a certain tag with that password, than you are the only one who can use that certain tag and password unless you give the password out. If you /make tag pass, then you automatically reserve that tag.

By the way , that turned to be not true actually since anyone can create a nickname with the tag i made using /maketag command without entering any passwords

im sure there is another command to add after the /maketag command

Can any admin help please ? or someone with experience regarding this matter

regards,
Xenon

The tag was already in use so it didn't work.
I tried 2 other tags and in both cases the server said "tag creation successful" and when i tried to create a new char with said tag the server said nothing. Char was just created. If tag is reserved the server should say that the char can not be created cause it already exists but.. It didn't happen.

Does someone have any idea why it doesn't work? (tags created are [OMS]- and <OMS> and i can use both without using the password i set.)

When you create the faction tag, you have to set the master password for the tag.

Once the Master password is set, you then have to set the Rename Password for the general public of your faction to use. DO NOT give away your master password.

So, the commands for a hypothetical OMS tag would be as follows:

/maketag <tag> <master password> <description>
/maketag <[OMS]> 12345 This is a tag

^ 1________ ^2_____^3_______ ^4

1:The specified command
2: The desired tag
3: the Master Password
4: the Description

Now, you have a tag created, now you need to set the rename password, you do that as follows:

/settagpass <tag> <master password> <rename password>
/settagpass <[OMS]> 12345 renamepass

^1__________^2______^3______^4

1: Again, the specified command
2: The same tag as before
3: The Master Password specified in the previous command
4: The Rename password that your members then use to fly the tag.

Hope this helps.
