Name: Josephine "Jo" Carpenter
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Nationality: Liberty
Citizenship: Liberty [Revoked]
Biography: As follows…

In 801 AS, two young newlyweds fresh from their honeymoon were flying in their personal Rhino Freighter when they were viciously attacked by Xeno's. The attack crafts seemed to appear out of nowhere and took them completely by surprise. During the resulting conflict, the Xeno's seemed to have the upper hand having easily destroyed all but a single turret on the small ship. Fearing for their lives though more so now for their unconscious and injured 9 year old daughter Josephine, the couple powered down their weapons and shields allowing the Xeno's full power over them. For the next 4 long and heated hours in the California system, the Xeno's would threaten the two until finally they were forced to submit to the terrorists demands. For the sake of their own daughter, Marcus Carpenter gave his wife one finally kiss before the Xeno's took him, never to be seen or heard from again. The mother and daughter were left by themselves, floating in space to hopefully be rescued by a random passerby, though as the hours then days slowly passed by, it seemed that all hope was lost. That was until a single rouge greyhound happened upon their ship.

At first, it seemed as if the pirate simply wanted credits, even though the battered and disabled Rhino freighter could do nothing and had no cargo. As the conversation continued and the now weak mother explained what had happened and the condition of her barely breathing daughter, the Rogue took pity on the two, calling in a two other rogue vessels including a Werewolf SHF class fighter and a Scylla Battleship class frigate. Scared but desperate, the mother decided for the sake of her child to allow the Pirates to take herself captive as payment for the medical attention and care Josephine, her daughter, needed.

Three Years later, Jessica Carpenter, a now 3 years Liberty Rogue slave, was given her freedom to do whatever she so desired, her daughter having been cared for by herself and the kind gentleman who up till now, owned her mother. Jessica thought long and hard about her options, she could go back to normal society and try to make a safe life for her and her 12 year old daughter, or remain with the pirates that saved her and her daughters lives. After a week, Jessica decided that staying with the pirates whom she had actually grown to trust was her best option. Travis Ryback , the older gentleman that had taken ownership of Jessica 3 years prior, was kind enough to allow Jessica and her daughter to remain with him in his somewhat luxurious and large quarters aboard the station.

For the past 3 years, Josephine and her mother were allowed to live somewhat normal lives even given her mother's slave status, Travis having allowed Jessica and Josephine to take residence in his personal quarters rather than have Jessica live in the slaves barracks deep in the station. Travis was a kind man, he had seen many years combat against the law and even though he was a highly wanted individual by the Liberty Government, he still had quite the large network of lawful and semi lawful connections. He was able to get the things Jessica needed to raise Her daughter and to keep Josephine relatively safe while taking it upon himself to Teach the young girl everything from your basic school studies to how to do emergency repairs on a failing engine core.

During the 3 years of her mother's servitude, Josephine, who had spent most of her time with Travis, grew to like and even admire the older gentleman. Jessica, who never thought she would love another man after her husband gave his life for them, slowly grew fond of Travis. After 7 years of living with the man, observing how close he and Josephine had become and how truly kind he could be, Jessica decided that Travis would make a great father and requested of her former owner that he marry her. Travis who had actually gained feelings for Jessica and truly loved and cared for Josephine as if she were his own daughter gladly agreed. Five months later on Gran Canaria, amongst his and her close friends, all of which would have been shot on site by any lawful that happened to pass by, exchanged vows and rings and soon began their new life as husband and wife.

Josephine, or Jo as she preferred to go by, who was now 16 years old thought about her upbringing with the Rogues, how Travis, or "Mr. Ryback" as she'd grown accustomed to calling him, had been so kind to her and her mother through the years, and that it was the same Rogues that had saved her life when she was so young. Given these facts and events, She decided to pay her saviors and friends back by becoming one of them as well and not just a simple guest on the station. After a few heated arguments between her mother and herself with Travis looking on as a neutral observer, she was given permission to join the crew of a newly built Pirate Transport captained by a close friend of her adopted father.

Wesley Larson, Her new captain, questioned her decision as well as her ability to handle herself in a dangerous situation, though he soon realized that Jo was in fact a great and highly intelligent addition to his crew. After 4 years of serving as an engineering hand aboard the "Whiskey High", Captain Larson decided that Jo needed more responsibility as well as the recognition she deserved, and given that his Chief Engineer was recently injured to the point of being useless in the engine room, it was decided that the now 20 year old Jo was to become the new Chief Engineer. Through her first 4 years aboard the Whiskey high as well as the following 5, Jo gained a reputation of being a no nonsense, strict, and demanding to the point of frightening leader. She managed through her commanding if not frightening means of situational control to time and again bring the Whiskey High back from the edge of death.

At the age of 25, the Whiskey High encountered an IC trade vessel who's captain seemed to think he was better than her captain and crew. The Bison Battle Class Transport decided it would rather destroy the Whiskey High then submit to their simple demand of 1.5 million credits and opened fire upon the less armed Pirate Transport. The fight went on for at least 20 minutes with hull breaches bursting all over the ship, then as the damage to the engine finally became too much to handle, the Whiskey High surrendered to the Trade ship, the captain preferring Prison over death. As the crew were ushered into holding cells aboard the IC Transport, Jo who was displeased with her captains choice made a daring move. Instead of handing over her side arms, two refurbished and reworked custom Desert Eagles, JO told the guards that given she was a woman, she was not allowed a weapon while aboard the ship. When the guard asked her about the strange metal cases hanging from each of her thighs, she told him they were devises that enabled her to move her legs, the straps around and between her legs having electrical nodes directly implanted inside her thighs enabling her to walk. The Guard was suspicious of this explanation, though allowed her to keep them not wanting to take care of a paralyzed prisoner. This was his mistake.

About 3 months prior, Jo finally finished work on her custom concealed mechanical holsters that would mechanically eject each of her guns at will right into her had while also holding 4 extra magazines of micro explosive rounds. do to their strange design, Jo suspected that most people would simply consider them as storage cases, and given that she was the Whiskey Highs Chief Engineer, no one aboard the ship thought anything of her new accessories.

The captain of the IC vessel ordered her to be placed in a cell by herself, not wanting the rest of the men from her crew together with her for fear of what they might do to the young and barely dressed girl.

Jo's choice of attire was one that few women could pull off, her short cut, rare natural, and brilliant silver shaded hair coupled with a seemingly glowing tribal like bluish purple tattoo down her left arm and back shoulder gave her a somewhat imposing look. That in combination with her tight black shirt that covered only her chest held on with a black leather belt running from her sides, buckled in the center of her back as well as a seemingly collar like top black leather strap around her neck with matching copper buckle at the base of her neck, leaving her back, arms and most of her abdomen revealed. She wore a pair of black bikini like undergarments with strange red short like chaps from which her custom case like holsters hung She had a long red scarf that ran the length of her back to just above the backs of her knees and black gloves with what looked to be a small communications device attached to each. she also wore leather steel toed boots that came halfway to her knee. Jo had on a few occasions used her looks to her advantage while on different stations of which she would occasionally have some man bother her to the point overly persistent. Being quite the shot as well as a frightening hand to hand fighter, she would use a her feminine whiles to lure the normally drunken idiots into a false sense of security before nearly bashing their skulls in for bothering her.

Back on the IC Transport, Jo patiently waited, ignoring the crews curses and complaints about their situation until finally, one of the guards kept throwing overly lustful looks in her directions moved to the bars of her cell and started making sexist comments about her being a pirate, how she was dressed and what he would love to do to her in his private quarters. Listening to this for 10 straight minutes gave Jo plenty of reason to end the man's life, though she knew she had to do so just right or things would go horribly wrong. Jo slowly stood up dusting herself off before throwing the man a cute smile, something that every crewman on the Whiskey High new only lead to someone ending up in medical. She leaned against the back of her cell as she struck up a conversation with the man, the overly familiar way he spoke to her driving her to the brink of madness. Then, finally as she agreed to give the man the time of his life in exchange for his helping her escape once they docked with the nearest police installation, he opened the cell and let her out.

Jo slowly walked forwards, stopping for a moment in front of the man, placing a finger teasingly under his chin before turning and moving a few feet forwards into the corridor. Smirking, the man walked up behind her, placing his hands on her thighs turning Jo around to face him. Then, as the man started once again telling her what he had planned for the two of them, right in front of the silent and closely watching crew, Jo made her move. With a simple snap of her fingers, the right holster opened and in the blink of an eye, Jo had one of her large pistols pressed firmly to his chin. the man had only a second to react before Jo pulled the trigger, sending a single micro bullet into his head, a resounding pop echoing through the corridor as two smaller holes exploded from the sides of his head. She then turned, wiping the dots of blood from her cheek and one at a time opened the cells for her fellow crewmen. As she stepped up to her captains cell, Jo gazed solemnly at the weak, frightened and broken shell of a man that once was Captain Larson; the stress and pain and fear from his long years as the captain of a pirate transport finally coming to a head resulting in the man's total mental collapse. The Whiskey Highs first officer as well as slightly injured doctor joined Jo as they sadly watched the captain muter random gibberish over and over to himself as he lay shivering on the small bunk the IC crew had provided him.

The ships First officer, Philip Straus placed a hand on Jo's shoulder, telling her that the crew needed a Captain and that she should take his place given how much Captain Larson trusted and admired her methods. Slowly nodding, Jo looked up at Straus as for the first time another man witnesses Jo's soft and vulnerable side. Straus smiled before giving her a gentle hug, whispering to her, "You'll be fine, and the captain would say the same thing, I'm sure." It was these words that set Jo on the course that led her new crew to capture and take over the ship that captured them, sell the entire IC crew to the Slavers Guild, took the transport back to Alcatraz where after 9 long hard months of retrofits, upgrades and customizations, the newly finished Rogue Bison Battle Transport, ironically christened "Crazy Train" took its maiden voyage.

4 years later, Josephine "Jo" Carpenter sat quietly on the bridge of her ship, her feet propped up and crossed on her command console, her arms crossed and head hung low as she slept away while the crew went about their normal duties, simply waiting for the nearest Padua Liberty Rogue vessel to call The crazy Train in to pick up the days loot.

Jo has time and again proven herself a capable and responsible captain even in the most dire of situations. Her loyalty to the Rogues especially the PLR never questioned as she would rather give her own life, than betray the people she trusts who trust her in kind. She can be stubborn, crude, strict and commanding, though she never loses the one quality that the very pirates she works for and with bestowed in her all those years ago on that fateful day.

Jo is truly, and whole heartedly, a rogue to watch out for, for questioning her loyalty to those she trusts will end in bloodshed.

Ships Captained: PLR:Crazy.Train
Favorite past time: Quiet naps on the bridge.
Usual port of call: Padua Station
Likes: Quiet naps, action movies, bar fights, tequila, her ship, her crew, yelling at her crew, tinkering with different mechanical creations, the occasional raid that ends with a target cursing her very existence.
Dislikes: Being woke up, romance movies, scotch (Shed rather throw the bottle into a suns corona than look at it), her ship taking damage, her crew getting injured, her crew fighting, having to punish her crew, when one of her mechanical creations explodes, when idiot traders think they can take on an obviously better equipped and outfitted Pirate.
Favorite saying: Welcome to Hell.
