Hey, long time no see. Sending this comm because after dropping a ship off at Cartagena Shipyard some members of the ships crew ended up with some free time on station. While they were there they learned about a project which is seemingly being headed up by you. Judging from some of the materials being used in the project and its delivery location i'd guess it's something construction related, specifically a ship.

Since we know how well you pay and have several high quality shipbuilders and mechanics around, our group was wondering if you might need a hand or three with your project. I'm sure the Outcasts are fine shipbuilders in their own right, but ours are used to working unconventionally and know how to make things that shouldnt quite work together fit into place.

If you're interested, a summary of the project along with any personnel or materials you may need would be nice. Along with hopefully a proposed payment.

Wouldn't say I'm not slightly surprised by this transmission, but then again, wouldn't say I'm someone to refuse an interested party's offer to help or a recent business partner's offer for another deal either. Though, if you've heard that much about that little project of mine, means someone's been talkin' more than they were supposed to and I've got some smacking to do.

Anyways... As it happens, that little project of mine somewhat fits in your area of expertise, so having your guys around could actually help speed up the process. The details of the project, however, would be something we'd better not talk about over the comms and once and if we manage to reach an agreement you can meet up with the project lead yourself and ask her whatever questions you may have to ask.

So... with the matter of details sorted, we'll just have to discuss that payment you mentioned. Since you were the one approaching me with this offer rather than the other way around, I think it'd make things simpler if you just tell me what you had in mind and then we'll see if that's reasonable and manageable.

Asking for a pricetag without actually offering any of the specifics of the job is a tricky thing to gauge. At the very least the people we send would need to be properly compensated since this seems to have some unique circumstances attached to it.

With that in mind, I would suggest the following in terms of payment.
  • Between 100-250 million credits per member of the engineer team depending on your lead engineers assessment
  • If at all possible any insights into the actual project, particularly of a technological nature should be shared
  • Access to any contacts you may have in the Synthetic Marijuana trade circle

Unless the project is particularly challenging or large in scale I believe a group of four hand picked people should be able to cover it. If these all work for you, an estimation of how long these people can expect to be gone for would also be appreciated.

Your terms seem reasonable, and tell you what... depending on the efficiency of your work, I may end up doubling the cash payment per individual by the end of the project. How's that for an incentive? As for the technical aspects of things and how long the project may take, you'd again have to talk to the project lead as she's the one running the show and I've decided to give her some breathing room since she works way better that way.

Drop me a list of the people you're thinking about getting involved and I'll get their access sorted, and they can start soon as they get to Cartagena - if they aren't there already. Needless to say, I'll be covering their full expenses during their stay, and will also send em a couple of files to help them catch up with what's been done so far so they won't end up being confused for a week or two before they actually manage to get stuff going.

The names of the current people who've been chosen for this are in order of importance, Sean Roberts, Lucy Sykes and Lily Terson. I'm working on getting a fourth guy from outside our group, but the group he's from i've worked with before and can vouch for them.

Everyone I can currently reach has been instructed to make their way to the shipyard and are probably on their way as we speak. Unless there are any other issues needing to be worked out I think for the time being everything is taken care of.

Oh and uh, one last term I suppose. The people we've sent you are somewhat valuable to the group as a whole, if you could pay their value to us in case of any accidents, it would be appreciated.

We calculate their value at :

15 million credits to be paid to JM|-Bank#1

Don't worry about accidents. We've got somewhat of an automatized workshop going on down at Cartagena with robots taking care of the tricky stuff and the people with actual brains simply reclining on their safe comfy seats, so your guys will be making the trip back home with as many arms and legs as they came in with.

I've already arranged what needed to be arranged and your gang will find rooms reserved to their names when they reach the base, with the files I mentioned earlier already in their room. Get in touch with Jessica Snow when you get there, she'll fill you in on the rest, and despite being a woman, she's the middle-man of the whole thing so if you need anything just let her know and she'll get in touch with me.

Have fun.
