It hit me right now. As far as I remember from Starlancer, the Coalition had the jumpgate that could send ships and troops between Venus and Neptune Sectors. All in all, even if they managed to build that, the other question arises.
Would that be possible that Coalition could have used the Daam K'vosh tech, thus being technically the first ones to ultilize tech left for the Nomads?
I mean someone said that Sirius Sector is "just" 800 light years away from the Solar System, so one ancient vessel could be crippled in Sol - that's how I'd explain that. The Sol War lasted around 100 years, so it would be likely that Coalition simply would not have time to fully adapt the technology, while Valhalla One project could have been studied for at least 200 to 500 years since (re)discovery.
Nope, nope and another nope. As a starlancer vet, I can assure you a big nope 8| it's all Coalition tech. The Coalition had enough men to hold the battlefields busy so they can secretly research those jumpgates. Not to mention, in Starlancer everyone and their moms had Jumpdrive technology, so I m sure that Jumpgate constructions aint a big deal. Also. DK Gate tech connects you between realy huge distances while Coalition had only between Planets, like a usual Jumpdrive at that time.
It's likely Sol humans had knowledge to built a inter-system jumpgate (and probably so energy inefficient for purposes anything but tactical super weapon) and it's the DK tech that gave them a way to make this concept work between systems in fashion we see it today.
