When the Director told Isaac to get him a cup of tea, something in the engineer's eyes sparkled mysteriously. He energetically stood up, took the tea tray with the teapot and already empty teacup from jason's desk and went directly to the small exquisite kitchen on the directorate deck.
The engineer put fresh water in the electric kettle.
As the water approached the boil, he warmed the teapot by rinsing it out with hot water. Then he treated the teapot to nine caddy spoons of green tea leaves. One spoon for every person present on the meeting and one extra spoon for the pot. Right before the kettle water boiled, he poured into the pot without stirring. Isaac left it for four minutes to infuse.
Mesmerized by the kusarian scents, he almost forgot to return to the meeting. Isaac arranged eight teacups in the tea tray, put the teapot in the middle and went back to the directorate office.
Since the main table was preoccupied he put the tea tray on the director's desk again. The engineer poured gently the tea, thru the tea strainer, into two of the cups . He handed the first cup with happy smile to Jason, without saying a word and eagerly took the other for himself, impatient to taste the lovely tea.
