In 780 A.S. Hugo Hirschfield was born on Planet Stuttgart, to a lower middle class family. He was a quiet, and a shy child.

His father was a drunk, a deadbeat; he was never home and was always at the local pubs.

His mother Dorothy Hirschfield was an overworked and underpaid seamstress in Stuttgart's textile industry.

Despite his humble beginnings, Hugo was an ambitious child. He loved to play with fireworks, in the back alleys, when he was only four. He excelled in school getting high marks. When he saw a Rheinland Military recruitment commercial on a television, he knew from that point on he would be an officer in the Rheinland Military. He joined the military at 18; where graduated from New Berlin National Military Academy and Institute, majoring in ship-to-ship tactics. His minored in computer science


His first ship was a Valkyrie, a new development at the time, however, it was brought up to be a standard workhorse for the Rheinland Millitary. He spent a decade and a half in the military as a captain,doing grunt work, pirate patrols, escorting civillian transports. His ship was upgraded to a Wrath, which was even newer than a Valkrye. A friend of his, commander of the Rheinland Crusier Wesen, detected harvesters on his long range scanners. Hugo formed up with him to support him. Four Harvester Machines were in front of the Sigma 13 jump hole, pirating innocent traders. Three had corsair gunboats, one had a Taiidain bomber. As the battle ensued, the Weser avoided gunboat shots. Hugo flipped his ship around and scratched at the bomber. It was not long before the Weser was trying dearly to escape from battle. The cruiser, battered and falling apart at the seems, exploded. Hugo barely got away with his life. He was promoted by Grand Admiral Arnold Logidice, to Gunboat Captain, for his long and excellent service.

His gunboat was the RGB Elbe. By this time, Chancellor Nienmann has just come to power, from a very close election. The Nomad War (799-802 A.S.) began. Rheinlands crippled economy after the 80-year war was resurrected, from Nienmann's focus on military power, this brought the workers back to the shipyards, and the economy surged, However, Little knew that Niennman had been infected, just has Governor Tekagi.

Hugo voted for the other guy, but he was happy to see Rhienland prosperous once again. Rheinland, however, was turning into more and more of a military dictatorship. Big guns stood vigil at all their gates... Preparing for full-scale invasion. His fleet, consisting of his gunboat and two Valkyries, was one of the front line fleets, deployed near the Hamburg > Bering Gate.

The First Grand Attack fleet started massacring Texas. This fleet consisted of the Rhienland Battleship Schwarzewald and the Rhienland Battleship Moselle with a large escort force. They quickly seized control of the docking ring at Houston. While Hugo's fleet was patrolling in Bering, A Nomad fleet entered Hamburg, and slaughtered the border fleet, Which was small, the rest of the fleet was out to Houston.


Near the Bering > Hamburg gate, at this time, the fleet that attacked Houston was reorganizing. Hugo was in cryo-sleep when his fleet was attacked, almost instantly nomad turret blasts completly destroyed the small fleet. The CEEP saved Hugo's life. (Captain Emergency Escape Pod). There were no survivors, save him...

The escape pod containing Hugo floated around Bering for many, many years. Nienmann was infected, and killed by Trent, saving Jacobi, Rheinland was once again in turmoil, due to the Millitary's destruction, the Rhienlanders had very little millitary power, except the Westfalen, who was excluded from battle; For unkown reasons.

A freelancer, heading to Pacifica, encountered the escape pod's signal, feeling heroic, he brought it aboard. The ship's scanners detected no nomad presence/infection. Pacifica base had an old but working Cyro Sleep Reviving Device (CSRD). The Unioner base commander, Joe Ingham, had no idea that many years ago Hugo killed his father. Hugo was revived, amazingly, years after he was frozen. The second the Unioners saw his outdated Rheinland Military uniform, they demanded that he be thrown out the airlock.


The freelancer, risking his life, pulled out his Detroit Blaster Mk II, and shot and killed two Unioners. He pulled the shocked Hugo aboard his ship. Ten unioners chased the Eagle. It was out of countermeasures. A daring move, the Freelancer whipped around, nearly missing an asteroid as the Unioners fired their protectors. The freelancer grinded them to dust. One Hawk down, another, and another, in quick sucession. Hugo was still delerious from the Cryosleep, stricken with amnesia. The ship lurched in one direction, Hugo whacked his head on the console and faded out. When he woke up, there were red strobe lights flashing...

"What Happened? Why did you rescue me?" Hugo started asking.
"Listen, I am Jonothan Hirschfield." Ring Any Bells? He replied.
"WHAT!" Hugo screamed. "Just hold on a second, what year is it?"
812 A.S, Jon told him. "I am your son..." Jon broke the news.
Hugo was speechless. Jon pointed at the star date on his Eagle's computer. "WOW!" Ive been out there a long time...
"Yes, you have, and I have bad news..." Oh? Whats that? Hugo asked inquisitively.
Mother... she... she... was infected by nomads... and was killed by the Rheinland Reconstruction Police..." Jon said sadly...
Hugo had an angry and sad look in his eyes... "Oh GOD!" he exclaimed.
Jon took him to New Berlin's Planet side Military Headquarters. Arnold was still an Admiral, and he was amazed that Hugo was alive. "You survived being in space for over a decade? And you still want to be in the military?" Admiral Arnold asked.
A day later, at the ceremony, Hugo was given the Gallantry Medal Golden Grade, for his survival and loyalty.

He was promoted to commodore, and given a rhienland cruiser, named RNC Hessen
In 814 A.S, the Hessen's sister ship, RNC Osnabr?ck came under attack by a medium sized hessian assault fleet, consisting of two cruisers and a flock of fighters. Hearing the distress call, Hugo called his fleet, and came into battle... It was a fierce battle, involving large-scale deployments. This was the harsh reality of war. While it leaves some jaded, Hugo seemes to enjoy it... The Osnabr?ck was damaged, almost unrepairable, hit with sunslayer torpedos and battered by Rheinland Pirate Cruiser fire.Suprisingly, they won the battle on a shoe string. Hugo was awarded the Medal Of Valor, Silver Grade. As rhienland had a large influx of niobium from Kyushu and the other kusari colonies, the New Chancellor took office. He was less interested in millitary buildup than Nienmann was. He promised a prosperous, peacefull future. Despite these good intentions... Tensions between Rhienland and Liberty are taking hold, a libel is published by the Rhienland Media... the libertonians embargoed all goods-trade from Rheinland.

However, July, 14th, 814 A.S. was a triumphant day for Hugo. As delegates from the two colonies discussed the recent libel, Hugo's fleet was under attack by the Das Wilde. Hugo had never seen these before. The Wild Scorpion Gunboat Wehr was attacking the fleet, with suprising and defaning firepower. Hugo's fleet was forced to fall back. The Rheinland Battleship N
?rnberg armed with a new weapon, the Rhienland Plasma Cannon. It fired from a long range, peircing the gunboat's shield and destroying it within a few hits.

Soon after the fierce battle Hugo though for the first time. Why was Jon heading to a unioner base? He cannot belive this never hit him before. It didnt matter now, he was his son, and he would accept him no matter what.

"This new menace to Rhienland... The Wilde.."
Admiral Arnold said at an adress.
"This will affect all of sirius if they spread" Arnold said.
"It seems Omega-58 is their home or main system, as the Zoner Expeditionary tells us."
"We will explore around there, and I will be going." Arnold said as some crowd members gasped.
"We must see exactly what the wilde is planning to do, and if they are suceeding."

Admiral Arnold's fleet, which includes Hugo's, endeavoured to Omega-58...

Omega-55, the wilde's border system, was loosely defended.
"Delta Combat Formation" Arnold yelled over the fleetcom.
The fleet moved and the first Wilde defense fleet boiled away like hot water. Suddenly, a Wilde Battleship with a massive escort fleet, Our fleet had 5 cruisers, one battleship, and ten gunboats, and a wing of fighters. Their fleet had 15 gunboats, EIGHT cruisers, and one battleship, These came from the Kusari Northern Invasion fleet, that could not turn home. The GMG would hold them from entering New Berlin, as well as other factions.

"WE TOOK A CRITICAL HIT!" Admiral Arnold cried over the fleetcom. The critical hit was caused by a nomad torpedo directly to the engines, which is the weakest point of nearly any ship.
"Fires on many decks, we're abandoning the shi"... and the ship exploded. Two more crusiers of the Allied Fleet were lost, both by the swiftness of the gunboats.But, in the end, we prevailed.
"We... We've won, but we lost another... a great hero..." Hugo sadly said.
"I wouldnt start mourning yet, sir, Look." a crewman pointed out
Hugo looked at the scanner, and a small dot indicated a escape pod.
"OH MY GOD!" Hugo Yelled
"TRACTOR IT IMMEDIATELY!"
It was Admiral Arnold in the escape pod.


Admiral Arnold was awarded a Vailiantry Medal Silver Grade for his bravery.
Hugo, for his actions in the First Battle of Omega-58, Hugo was awarded the Cross Of Rhienland, Which is just as high as an honor as the Lone Star of liberty.



He was given command of the RNB Aachen,This ship's command was recently opened, the Eighty year old captain of this aged but sturdy steed recently died. Hugo was also and promoted to Rear Admiral, for his tactical skill and brave actions.

In 815 A.S. He took a leave of absense, regarded as indefinate. There were problems at home. He had prevailed at it too, with at least 150 battles under his belt... High Command gave no reason for his absense, It was marked under "Classified"...

In 816 A.S, a year after Hugo left on his leave... He descided to return, when his Mother, who was dying of cancer on Bora Bora, died. Her last words... "Dont look back..."

Hugo went back to The Stormholm He affectionally touched the console...

"Im back, old girl..." he said.

Admiral Malte seemed glad to have him back, as he and his legacy drifted toward immortallity..

The Stormholm had seen many battles with Liberty since Hugo was on leave.
