That might be outdated till a certain point, but is a good place to start. FLStat is your friend though Tongue

However, I doubt it has anything to do with mass, as even mass of capitals is close to non existant when it comes to unit collision, or anything similar.

The only thing I found is that your speed will not be easily changed with very big mass

Define very big mass please. Because mot even the Zoner Juggernaut has a real "mass" in sense of physics, cause if you hit anything, you'll be bouncing around like a rubber ball .. which is horrible and the only piece of Freelancer which I don't like but that can't be helped cause the game itself was not made for capital ships.

Personally, I have no idea what the "mass" described in shiparch.ini is good for, never experimented with it, but I doubt it modifies much, since max angular speed is preset, along with the rest of the numbers. So if you could elaborate a bit on what your subject of research is, we'd have a clue

FLS also makes me puzzled, since FLS says li bs has less turn rate than br bs,but in fact,li bs has higher turn rate when turning right and left, but horrible turn rate when pitching up and down

mass affacts when it has a very high value, you wont get such big mass if you dont editting ini,but it shows that mass really affacts something

my problem is that when I watch some movie of br bs,I found my br bs has less turn rate, and when Im PVP I feel hard to make a turn,so I doubt that something reduces the turn rate
