At the current state, I doubt the AI really need a transport made for them. They can just use civilian transports.
Modelling/Making an AI transport is extremely unnecessary right now.

Yes. Maybe something that has arms like the salvager?

yeah a stylish 3ker
with ai -engine, -thruster, -shield gen and [5-7 gb or 11 transport]-turrets, :-))
Or one like the whale :-) instead of weapons: a speed of 135/395, 4k and can dock in house sovereign space?
whatever. freighter, salvager /raba style, or 5ker .the ai at least need trading vessel.
actually AI can't use 5kers
ID Wrote:The AI ID signifies the character is an Artificial Intelligence. Most AIs descend from Planet Gammu, where environmental conditions caused human settlement to fail, leaving only sentient machines behind, who then continued to evolve. AIs are fully selfaware and autonomous, and not under Human or Nomad control.
Vessels carrying this quasi-lawful ID are controlled by an Artificial Intelligence, who :
Can attack any ship in self-defense or in defense of another AI ship.
Can attack any ship in systems that do not contain a jumpgate.
Cannot attack transports and freighters, except in self-defense.
Cannot use any transports with more than 3,600 cargo.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, AI Cruiser
Well we've been discussing that for quite some time now. We were looking for something salvager-like and not only make it a trading vessel, but also a supporting class in harvesting operations and have it take home the harvested materials inRP.
Such a transport would also open up the possibilities like harvesting operation on transports we could benefit from and especially mining (if mining in the Omicrons would actually become a thing).
To all the people saying "why don't they just use normal transports?"
Think about it. If nomads were to properly use materials to construct a variety of things, they wouldn't have human transports to move these materials.
Gallic strong-minded king-lovers (no offense intended, just too tired to think of a way to say it nicer) would not buy an Atlas, simply because they - most probably - think, that their own technology is the best.
And the same thing somewhat applies to AI - at least the Gammu AIs - where they construct their equipment to be of utmost efficiency and use that.
That's my opinion. Let's get some more of said opinions, shall we? 8 )

The problem with that is that only the independend AI ID can use civilian ships. The official PRIME ID can only fly AI vessels.

Actually it's totaly normal that at some point a entity/alien faction like this would construct their own ships. If they already have the Cruiser/Drone then it's logical that there would come more in time. Speaking of RP purposes, like Phil pointed out, resource collector of some kind that would bring huge loads back to Home System, something like Salvager. For that purpose the Cruiser alone, let alone being a Harvester Class, seem to be inefficient if the AI's want to carry loads of LOADS of resources back to their home system. Something like the Cruiser but with Cargo, so a Frigate like Salvager would be the solution and it would be categorized in the Harvester Class.
