So it's been a while I wanted to give my two cents about this.

Two ships :
Kusari Gunboat.
Kusari Dessie.

Both have seen their size increased quite some time ago. I get that this was done in order to balance those ships.
But hey. Let's face it, it's been a failure. They probably became the most useless piece of scrap -not- flying around because hey, if given the choice, people fly the Komainu. Even if it's not a good bc, it's still better than whatever those two ships can offer.

So I get that. Kusari ships too good. That's why there is no activity in Kusari, etc etc.
But nerfing the chimie till it became crap and modifying the gunboat and the dessie didn't quite improve said activity in the end.

I can understand the upscaling of the gunboat, even if its firing arcs were kinda bad, making it not ideal for TS. It was so tiny it was a pain to hit, so okay. Yet, as it is right now, it's probably the most useless gunboat in the mod.

And the hatchet. The hatchet... Where to start.
You had a ship which had great strengths and great weaknesses; a personality in the end. It was a ship good against big caps and almost useless against snubs.
It was tiny enough to dodge fire from others caps at long range but on the other hand it could only fire all his guns forward, the firing arcs were odd, making it useless for TS unless your name was Timur. Hell. It couldn't really defend itself from even two bombers.

I understand this may have been a problem before TS happened, but now it is here, small Hatchets can't have such an edge anymore. Any dessie with correct arcs will do far better thanks to ts.
What do we have now? A ship with still odd arcs so still unable to lolaround firing turrets in TS, and bigger, so that the game makes sure you won't be able to survive any engagement.
So yeah. Hatchets were basically rendered useless. Please consider return it to its original size and give it a gunboat shield or less core regen or less hull or whatever.

TL&DR?

Do something to fix those two ships, please.

FL MOD(EL)MAKING: TOOLS, RESOURCES, TUTORIALS AND MY SHIPS (OLD)

I am on discord: Roal-Yr#5994, I don't log on forum more than a few times a year.

I am not making ships for FL anymore, I am making my own space game instead:

I'm not sure about the plans for the Hatchet but the Boat is definitely getting scaled down again, to somewhere in between its original and current size.
