Mr. Doe,

Now that we have the space to put it in, USI plans to replace Platinum Incorporated’s vault with a larger and stronger one so that we could increase the efficiency and security of our trading operation. Since your company has some of the best engineers in Liberty, I would expect only the strongest vault to be installed on this station. If they could begin by sending us a materials sheet and an estimated cost of construction, we will allocate the necessary funds and start handing out another round of shipping contracts so that they may soon begin construction.

Signed,

Peter Tomson

DSE has heard your request for a vault and accepts it I guess. I mean I personally don't know much about vaults except for the money part so here's the deal. I'm gonna throw this Engineering's way and see what they say about materials and time and I'll get back to you soon. Sound good? Groovy.

Sorry bout the wait there mate, engineering came up with a rad idea that I grew quite fond of. You see, these heavy metal vaults full of gold are a thing of the past. What you really want friend is a "Digital Vault". This has almost infinite capacity for credits in just about the same space as the vault you have now full of... whatever you fill vaults with. It of course it will have the best in physical protection such as lasers, motion sensors, and biometric locks. It will also be on a closed network so any hacking attempts outside the station are impossible. However it'll have a quad firewall among other things to stop any internal breeches from occurring.

Enough of me babbling however, I'm sure you want to see the parts list and the total cost for such an interesting project.

Code:
Quantity    Item
15,000      Bio-Neural Processors
500         Energy Field Equipment
10,000      Gadolinium
500         Lasers
10,000      Nanocapacitors
20          Optical Chips
250         Quantum Multiplexors
10,000      Solar Panels
4,000       Tobacco
1,000       Whiskey

The tobacco and whiskey are all for the workers after a job well done.

All in all the total price is 150.000.000. That's less than a good ole Stork.

If you have anything else you would like to bring up i'm listening, otherwise I eagarly await your approval of this, as one of the foremen put it, "Sweet vault".

Manager of Employment and Logistics, Matthew Bontrager

P.S. Could you clairify who is delivering such materials to Platinum Inc? Much appreciated.

Mr. Bontrager,

While I find your idea entertaining, it is not what USI needs. We already have bank accounts and funds across liberty, the prior of which are insured by the LDIC. Holding our money personally would be a mistake, and akin to keeping it under the mattress. We just need this vault to hold Platinum, as it is quite valuable and our base deals with it in high volumes, and rather than risk having to store it in hangar bays when our current vault fills up, I'd want to have a larger and more secure vault on the station.

As for your question, either USI will ship materials, or parts of the list will be contracted to other entities who will ship the items for a better price, such as BMM or Ageira.

Lastly, while I get that everyone has their vices, I fail to see how the Tobacco and Whiskey will add to the vault's effectiveness.

Signed,

If you just wanted rock storage you should have just said so. I mean my chief engineer is quite unhappy with the whole redesign issue but he assures me he can make it work. Nevertheless the part list, quantities, and price of 150.000.000 remain the same. I did happen to forget that we would like the money sent to Doe.Industries, whenever that should be.

P.S. Have you ever seen a work crew of 5,000 revolt after being told they couldn't get payed how they liked? California Minor never was the same for many of us after that.

Mr. Bontrager,

I and the rest of the executive board find your new proposal acceptable, and will include the Tobacco and Whiskey in the materials list. You will be paid 50 million credits now, and will receive the remaining 100 million upon completion of the vault. The shipping contracts are being handed out, so your engineers will be able to begin work on the vault shortly. Once again, I thank you for working with USI.

Mr. Bontrager,

USI has just finished shipping the last of the materials needed to complete the vault. Therefore, I would like an update on the progress made by your engineers. We know they are working, as several of the employees on the base have filed noise complaints, but we are unsure of how far along in construction they are. If you could send me that information along with an estimated date of completion, it would be greatly appreciated.

They're a good crew Mr. Thompson. My head foreman tells me that the vault should be up, running, and ready for usage in approximately 36 hours.

P.S. The work crew thanks you for the whiskey and tobacco.

Well the construction crew has just sent word the vault is ready for your usage. Seems they've been "testing" it. Apparently they spent quite a lot of time just... throwing rocks about. Don't ask me why but thats what they consider entertainment. I've also received word that the accountants are ready to receive the rest of the payment for the vault.

Enjoy your new vault.

Mr. Bontrager,

I and those stationed on the base are happy to hear that your team has finished construction of the vault. I've transferred the remaining 100 million credits to your account and look forward to working with you and the rest of DSE in the future.
