Acutaly, my zoner characther is an ESCORT for the STF.

As the INFOCARD for the Zoner destroyer says, it escorts important zoner convouys. It's the primary escort for my group. THAT is the RP reason.

However that's irrelvent to this discussion, as this is about bombers.

I have a falcietta, and I actualy destroyed a zoner dessie about an hour ago. I Like flying it, but even I admit the guns over powerd.

Its about the same power level as a class10 BATTLESHIP heavy mortar, if I remember right.

And it's mounted on a ship thats an iiiity bitty spec compared to a battleship.

You're missing the point.

The bomber is designed to take down capital ships. In order for the bomber to accomplish that task, it needs a Supernova. Thats it, there's nothing else to it.

To expand more upon that point: In order for a bomber to fulfill its purpose, its weapon system must be able to down the shields of a Battleship, and perform significant damage to its hull. If bombers were unable to penetrate capital ship shielding, they would be utterly useless.

Then why not have a more powerful torpedo than the nova ?

HOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE for a FIGHTER (bombers are the same size so count in this) weapon to be as powerful as the MOST powerful battleship weapon ?

It doesnt.

Period.

So you want to kill a BS, boo hoo.

get in a GROUP or ROLEPLAY thefact that you SHOULD NOT be able to in a small group take one out (unless the pilot sucks)

For your info. It still takes 3 bombers and a pretty long fight to bring down a BS. And getting those 3 bombers in group is no small feat. Have you noticed how many caps are out there nowadays? Pretty many. If there were fewer which would be RPed properly then maybe the bomber number limit to take out them could be higher.

Flying under radar.

750k isnt bad thing if that would be aviable only for battleships and single shot drain them whole energy.
