Lauren.

I hope this reaches you well. Given the circumstances, as well as what happened after your ejection, I may not be sitting on the mountain of coherence that I thought before.

I know Jack's little shooter squad may not have given you the welcome you were expecting in the Navy. I'll admit, even I have trouble understanding his logic at times. His focus, at least from my experience, has always been about the higher ups. Trust, in a sense. You ask me on a personal level, he's not a good CO. He focuses more on those beside him, and not those below.

Good Fleets focus on all members, equally. They treat them all equally, respect them equally, and welcome them equally. Now, I'm not certain of your past prior to joining his aforementioned shooter squad, but I can say that a Fleet like that, commanded by a man like him, isn't the right place for new pilots, and especially not one's like yourself. You show more promise.

I've heard about your efforts, and them alone would warrant a promotion to at least Lieutenant Commander or higher. You're a great pilot from what I've heard. A great pilot with great potential. I know piracy, and I know that the only way it will lead you is to an early grave. I'm certain that's not what I'd want for a promising young pilot like yourself, and I'm certain that's not what you want either.

I try to do what I can to make this... hectic life worth living, and I find it in the people by my side. I'd be honored, and privileged to have you fly on my wing. To have you be welcomed. To make you feel like you belong instead of being forgotten and left to rot in the criminal underground. You're better than that, Lauren. You deserve better.

Until we meet again, I wish you the best of luck.

Signed,
Alexander S. Kingston, Liberty Navy Primary.

Lt Commander Kingston,

I am receiving your transmission loud and clear. The circumstances are not good I know.

Recently I have just opened my transmission I sent to the 5th Admiralty and the Primary Fleet of the Liberty Navy. It seems I have not heard from your Fleet Admiral or anyone that is apart of your High Command. Here is the encryption codes and channel so you are clear to listen in. My first transmission I was a little frustrated and angry I must admit, maybe I said a few things I should not have and I regret. But I will not be able to change that now.

<Encryption Codes:Clear ||| Channel: To Liberty Navy/5th Navy High Command>

You say you know Fleet Admiral O'Neill's little shooter squad may not have given me the welcome I was expecting. But do you honestly. His logic and understanding of being a leader is completely wrong. I agree he focus's on his leading and high ranking officers expecting them to do all his dirty work, like a bunch of slaves. I am no slave. I fight for what I believe. I have to agree with you. He is not a good CO at all, if his rank could be revoked it should.

Do you the Primary Fleet relay on these pilots who think they are all mighty, well experienced and great knowledge to fight the Gallic threat in California, Magellan and even within Leeds. Do you relay on there support and assistance.

I wouldn't know what a good Fleets is like, I've never been apart of a good fleet. I believe equality and diversity should be within the work place. Especially the Navy of all. They have no respect for me, is it because I am a women. It could be. If that is the case why did they accept me into training. I do not know.

You wish to know about my past before I joined this aforementioned shooter squad. Luckily for you I kept a copy of my application. Here it is. <Encryption Codes: Clear ||| 5th Fleet Recruitment Officer: Lauren Shaws Application>

I must thank you for the compliments you bring to me. It is very sweet and respectful from someone like yourself Lieutenant Commander. I do appreciate this talk.

You say you have heard about my efforts that I done for the Republic and the civilians of Liberty. You think that I would be warranted for a promotion to at least Lieutenant Commander if not higher. But how can that be when I am seen as a criminal of Liberty from what Vice Admiral Jackson, 5th Fleet Navy has said. It seems they have hatred for me for leaving or it is a tradition they have. Every member that leaves will automatically become a criminal of Liberty.

Personally I would like to think I am a great pilot, but I can only be as good as the men and women I fly with. If there is a better pilot along side me I will try to fly to there standard. I will always try and find ways to improve my abilities and skill while being a pilot. I do not wish to become a pirate, I do not wish for an early grave. I do not wish to harm anyone but as being called a criminal of the Republic already so soon it makes me want to return home to Bretonia.

Life in space is very hectic you are right. But it is also very hectic at home on a planet you come from. I myself come from Bretonia, but I would like to think I was respected and honored within the house of Liberty considering the alliance and friendships Her Majesty the Queen has.

You say you would be honored, privileged to have me fly as apart of your wing. But I need to ask you this. What would your higher ranking officers think of having a "Criminal" fly as a member of this wing. I was named a "Criminal" due to the Admiralty of the 5th Fleet. I feel forgotten and unwanted, appreciated by the Liberty Navy, apart from you, you are making me see differently. So thank you.

Maybe if I hear from the leaders of the Primary Fleet, this offer to join your wing maybe a thought for me. I may be interested in joining. Your words sounding promising.

I await your response.

Lauren.

I'm glad my previous message made it through. The way these comm channels work, I'm just glad it wasn't blocked, or intercepted by ESRD... I'm probably overthinking this, and to my credit I usually do.

When I say that O'Niell and his 'shooter squad' (I just love that term, for some reason) may not have given you the welcome you expected, it was really a broad term. I've yet to see one rookie pilot who wasn't a favorite last through training before calling it quits. O'Niell doesn't pad out his command well, in any regard, and his lowers pay for it with their ambition, or even their lives.

I took a look at the documents you forwarded to me, and this only makes me wish you'd sent a transfer request even more. The fact that VA Jackson doesn't show the compassion a true officer should, alongside his disregard for you entirely, really makes me think as to how he was drafted in the first place (Probably O'Niell being favoritist again).

The fact that you are a woman shouldn't factor into the equation in any form. Sexism gets pilots killed, and only the open-minded, those who don't see black and white (male or female), will keep going. O'Niell himself processed your application, but it seems he was too busy occupied with other work to really show interest in it. As I said before, and as you reiterated, he's not a good CO.

In your application, you stated that your driving goal was to 'protect the innocent'. While I think it's a little broad, it is as good a reason as any to join the military. We all take the oath to defend the people of Liberty, and to do what we think is right. Some days, it's a little harder, others a little easier. Sometimes, we have to put up with the bureaucratic crap that spills in from Manhattan. It's all part of that 'protecting the innocent' vibe that we all strive for.

As far as I'm concerned, you're not a criminal. That little bit at the end of your message to Command was just anger, and something that I won't hold against you. You're a great person, Shaw, I'm sure of it. A great pilot, with terrific motivations.

While my job may not say so, I pride myself on trying to help others who have lost their way. Might be my family background, but I've always looked out for the ones that Command stepped on, and you are no exception. I've always hated seeing conflict where there should be none. Pointless wars only cost us lives, and that is something we're in need of these days. Not ships. People. With actual thoughts.

I'll be watching this feed, Lauren. I do hope my words have helped. I do hate seeing promising young pilots taking the easy route, as it truly only leads to their eventual death. I don't want that for you, or for any pilot in the Navy. In any House Military. No one is beyond reconciliation. I mean that.

Take care, Lauren. I'll be waiting for your response. Until then, stay safe.

Signed,
Alexander S. Kingston, Liberty Navy Primary.

Kingston,

Well it did make it through which I guess was lucky?

O'Neill does not know how to lead, yes they might be strong pilots when alone, yes they all have this nasty, rude, arrogant attitude. But how will this help when fighting the Royalists within California again. Did they do much during the last events with Gallia trying to take over the Magellan gate?

The documents I forwarded you are horrific. Correct me if I am wrong. Maybe what you say is true, I should have made a transfer request to the primary fleet of the Liberty Navy. But maybe it is too late. Who knows?

O'Neill is one of those people who makes one officer or pilot his favorite, and they will become close friends and that will show promotions from being able to sit at the desk drinking some sunbucks or something.

When I said abut the equality and diversity, I really did hope you understood what I mean by this. I believe O'Neill has something about women or blacks fighting for Liberty. He has that attitude about him, what other female officers or pilots do you see within the 5th Fleet. What black officers or pilots do you see? You don't.

I did state that, you are right. Even if I do become a criminal or a "pirate," I will not become one that has to kill innocents. Yes I will demand money from them, because I have a family to feed. But I sure in hell do not want to harm anyone if I do not have too. When I joined the 5th Fleet and was passed through my interview there was no oath I had to take. I was not given any oath. So either the 5th Fleet are not doing there jobs right, or I am missing something here.

I must thank you for what you say about me. Yes there is anger and frustration running through my body now. I feel betrayed by the Republic who I wished to defend. Betrayed by the Admirals I was suppose to fly with.

There should be no conflict here, but you saw from those documents. The 5th Fleet see me as a criminal and I am just waiting for that moment I am on the Criminal Data banks. When that happens then what? Do I have myself over? The way I see it. If you leave the 5th Fleet, or have a medical condition or go missing. They put you on the criminal side, automatically making you a wanted man or women within the Republic. Even if you are a citizen.

I am still waiting for the Liberty Navy Primary Fleet to get in contact with me about this situation. How it has escalated over recent days.

But I wish you to take care, and stay safe out there.
