Heyhey!

I have a question that sprung from the discussion about POB attack rules here:

Imagine you are a shady POB owner - let's say FL IFF, or Junker - and you want to have illegal goods for your unlawful visitors and legal goods for your lawful customers. That's just like any shady IFFed NPC base in the game, basically.

Can you, as the owner, define that:

> lawfuls can only see lawful cargo because the POB trade menue would irply not display the bad things to them?
> unlawfuls cannot see the goody-goody things that the POB offers to the lawfuls?

It's not possible gameplaywise (every docked player sees the whole shop).
It would be possible if Disco was reality.

So... can a shady POB owner write a passage into the F9 base description that says: "Lawfuls cannot see contraband in the shop" and this statement would protect him again a lawful's docking and making a post that goes: "You sell X on your base, which is a violation of Law Y!"

Green statement welcome.

I am without a doubt certain that one cannot go into a base and based on the commodities in the base become hostile to it. Basically without stating, players should keep to their own business.commodities found on a base is not a justification to then say that there is something wrong.

What is possible is seeing ships outside docking with that material. THEN that makes sence.

So to answer your question, you do not need to write this because it had been stated that you cannot do rp out of just seeing the commodity list.

Basically, jack, treat it as you would an NPC base. Lawfuls do not dock on that base and say: hey, this base sells illegal stuff! Lets contact the owner!

No. They would know this, rather, by traders coming in and out.

Can you link me a reliable statement?
That would be interesting because I seem to have missed that one.

I wish I could but I cannot. I , embarrassingly enough, dont know where it is.
The reason I can state this without a doubt is that after the rule was added people that were doing these things had stopped doing these things. I belive it was The Junkyard in relation to the Bretonia gov that heavily influenced this change, for example, and after the change there was no trouble.

What I am trying to say is that I cannot find the rule but I do know it left a night and day mark.

It was a rule put in place after some LSF trolls decided to empty a Congress base full of Cardmine and sell it on Huston for profit under the guise of "confiscating" it from the base, then they tried to levy inRP consequences for it and where slapped back by the admin team.

It was made in an announcement post which I can't seem to find.

The only trolls here are the Congress, who wasted 5 hours of me and John's time to come to an agreement, before reneging on that agreement less than an hour later.

Then your base exploded while I was on vacation, and suddenly Hawk is blowing up my Skype with personal attacks.

And one of the "uncategorized rules" there says:

The short answers, yes - commodities and items on POB's are hidden inRP.
