I'm glad you got this arranged so quickly, and didn't forget, just like you promised. I'll gladly accept the offer of your presence, provided you can of course make it, not something I can fault you for if you cannot.

Faced with no other choice, I will meet Miss Kerensky. I've accordingly prepared a resignation letter but I haven't submitted it yet. I'll be waiting for the results of the interview first.

I'm thankful my career with the Navy ended on a good note, that being a successful skirmish in New York, in the very ship that gave me my reputation, for being more than just another uniform fresh from the Academy.
