The Maltese Exiles were first appearing in Sirius at the great battle of Delta back when the Maltese Battlegroup Victoria invaded the system to strike against the Order and the Core. Already back then they had their grudge towards Nomads and their influence on Malta.
But fate leaded them to the loss of barely any warship just half an year after they were officially declared exiles.
Weakened and with not enough resources they returned to Malta just to see that the ruling party, the Crimson Cross, was weak as well.
They took their chance and founded what today is known as the National Council of Malta together with a few rich familys.
Everything seemed perfect for the former exiles but than a recent and faithful discovery leaded for them to see the thruth once again. The Corsica Intelligence Division, the National Council's secrect service leaded by the former exile Rosa Veraz, had been infiltrated by the Slomon K'Hara and their slaves. One of the infiltrators had been even inside the Council itself.
It didn't take them very long to figure out that the National Council as whole is just as corrupted by them as the former goverment was. Seeing no hope to destroy the infestation on their own they once again choose the way of exile and staying alive long enough until Malta needs them again.
