At 19:30 SMT on October the Second, 823 A.S, a combined force of Auxesian and Commonwealth vessels moved in to the Inverness system to conduct a recovery operation of a high-value asset from the hands of the environmentalist extremist organization known as the Gaians. The Arktos and Eidolon Wraith - Both registered to operate within the Inverness system, combined fire with Commonwealth assets to assault a minor facility being used by the Gaians, successfully removing the Outpost identified as Klaksvik.

Gaian assets in the area have since scattered and begun conducting guerrilla resistance strikes in opposition to the strike made on their organization and facility. Despite superior knowledge of the nebulae present in the region and a significant increase in numbers, the Gaian forces are fighting a losing battle. It is currently unknown if the Gaian threat intends to relocate further in to Bretonia, but be advised of retreating criminal assets in to either Newcastle or Manchester.

This message serves as a notice to the Crown and her Armed Forces of the removal of a significant terrorist holdout in collaboration with the Commonwealth. A direct relay is available through Auxesia to make contact with the Commanding officer of the Commonwealth forces present in the region should further inquiries be necessary.

Good day,

The Admiralty and the Armed forces thank you for your assistance with the thorn in our side that has been the Gaians. The Admiralty would like to know the specifics of the Gaian forces during this little "event". Numbers will suffice, though be as detailed as you can. The Gaian forces have been thinning out recently, likely from the distaste of the Royal Navy at their doorstep as well as us. The more we know about what was destroyed the closer we will be to eliminating them completely.

Captain Brennan,

I take it the Admirality is occupied with the Royalists, and you were tasked with resolving this matter.

Initial combat began when the Commonwealth contacted our forces for assistance in the recovery of a VIP. A small fleet, consisting of the Battleship Arktos, Minotaur, Manticore and Ven'Gyr, supplemented by the Battlecruiser Eidolon Wraith gathered and made a push in to the Western Avlemore Nebula towards Klaksvik Outpost, the remains of which are attached to this message.

Within the hour, Commonwealth Military assets boarded the station and cleared a path to extract their VIP. An exact defense force consisting of a small contingent of independent Lane Hackers, including an l3GS-1 "Interrogator" Lane Hacker Gunship were present, covering two CTU-6b Waran Strike Bombers. The Gunship was engaged and destroyed by the Eidolon Wraith, and one bomber fell to the Arktos. Over one dozen Gaian defense craft consisting of mostly Panther Strike Bombers to counter the incoming assault were present, which were successful in disabling the Manticore, forcing it to retreat. Despite the loss of one heavy asset, the assault was successful and the Outpost destroyed.

At 20:13 SMT, as the capital assets withdrew, Commonwealth and Auxesian fighters moved in to engage the remaining defenders, consisting of over twenty strike craft, consisting of mostly Anacondas, two Centurions, and half a dozen Chameleons, most of which were destroyed or withdrew from the region as the fighting slowed. The next few days consisted of occasional guerrilla strikes made by the remaining forces in the region, who eventually withdrew to other Gaian holdouts. An exact casualty list isn't available, but with the loss of Klaksvik and their defense force is upwards of one hundred.

With a newly established foothold and the removal of a major nuisance, we can focus on our primary objective of removing the remaining Order assets from the area. The operation against the Gaians is owed mainly to the forces of the Commonwealth. Their mention in this network is in the event you decide to make contact or they to you. It's our hope that this removal effort done by both parties may further open up a line of cooperation in the removal of a minor nuisance and cut off the flow of Artifact trade from the Corsairs in to both Bretonia and Liberty, by removing many key points in their collaborators organization.

In closure, Inverness is one step closer to being clear of hostiles, and it may soon be safe for a full survey, but for now our focus remains on investigating a sudden rise of unusual energy in the West Avlemore Nebula.
