Help with tags

So I'm just recently starting FL again, and I made an LPI character because TLAGSNET is cool. And so I tagged it with =LPI= because I thought that was a cool tag and everything official uses [squarebrackets] usually... and then somebody comes along and tells me that =LPI= is actually the legit player faction tag for the LPI.

I'm a bit confused, any advice?

I enjoy roleplaying as an LPI officer but I don't think I've ever joined the LPI officially, so I don't know how the server allowed be to use that tag. Am I supposed to use a different tag if I'm an LPI indie? I still have the default LPI ID you get from the restart, btw.



EDIT: After looking on the Oficial Player Factions subforum it appears that LPI- is the official tag, so it seems I was misinformed. This thread can be deleted if you see fit, mods.
