Nomad ID is given only by Admins.

I'd would start reading about Keepers and their story line. This helps you to understand what is required from role playing a nomad. Read about Keepers faction here and you'll see that the faction is invitation only.

If you really are determined to become a Keeper follow the instructions they give you.

Try to PM one of the member listed keepers, get into touch in-game and make yourself known to them.

You have a very steep hill to climb.

What I suggest is that you make a say Corsair or Order character. Role play him or her well when there are Keepers around. Being close to Nomads and Keepers (even when you are in the opposite faction) gives you very precious information and idea of Keepers roleplay and knowledge about the general area.

Here's a quote from the Keepers faction post about joining.

Quote:Joining the faction

If you want to be one you have to prove you are capable of it.

For this purpose you can make independent character with Nomad Light Fighter that is publicly available at Planet Primus (Omicron Kappa). The ship does not require to roleplay Nomad (as opposed to the regular version), however you are free to try and if your roleplay fits in you may receive an invitation into the faction. It is good idea to ask for suggestions from the faction members, to show your stories and get feedback. We offer our help, but ultimately such person must show exceptional roleplaying skills, extensive knowledge of Discovery mod, history of existing factions and be respected member of the community prepared to go for extra edge.

Please, make screenshots of the examples of your in-game roleplay performance on Nomad trial character to send them along with your story. It's also a good idea to have player testimonials at hand as well.

Of course you must have clean record on the Discovery Roleplaying server and well-known characters with good stories, however the latter is not really a requirement, what matters most is how well you understand Nomad roleplay.

Use generic Pirate ID, and try to keep out of having tags, however if you get one anyway that's not a big problem, since it's irrelevant in this case. However, keep in mind that by having that or any other ID on a trial nomad character you DO NOT get a right to kill on sight, as a matter of fact you are limited to self-defense. Two bases you are allowed to dock at are Planet Primus and Planet Gammu in Omicron Kappa once you are finished setting equipment and ID.

An applicant's story requires the following elements to be present:

* Being narrative for most of the part;
* Have at least one-fourth of the story amount as told from the Nomad's perspective;
* Normally no less than three pages long of normal size;

Before publishing your story on the forum, please, send it via PM or E-Mail or Skype for proofreading. Large percentage of the stories often requires very minimal changes to be made for them.

Story and in-game performance examples are mandatory steps.

Flying under radar.

There is indeed a Nomad ID, but it isn't being used by anyone right now. Most everyone that wants to play a Nomad has to join the Keepers. In the meantime, you can RP one with the Pirate ID and Nomad LF.
