The following speech was witnessed in person by Bundschuh exiles that hid amongst the Order and through the Neural Net by most Bundschuh members.

“It’s over, Genossen.”

With that, a defeat was acknowledged. More than that, a complete failure. A disaster. The woman bluntly put into words what her listening comrades already knew deep within. It just took time to acknowledge the bitter truth.

“We have tried and we have failed. We did everything we could for the movement. We knew we took a risk, but we thought it to be worth it. A strong active Bundschuh that could change Rheinland, that was what we wanted to achieve. I considered that worth taking the risk. I still do.”

Freya Eistochter was no longer what she once was. Former party leader of the Bundschuh and one of the founding members of the Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee, she always maintained a grip on the movement, whether she was at the head or in the background. Yet, now everything she had built up, had come crumbling down.

“We have fought a good fight, and make no mistake, it’s not the fight that is over. The movement as it existed for years however is done with. We tried to save it, yet we failed. The Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee was to become stronger and more militant than ever before. A force to be reckoned with. Now, it is a mere shadow of what is used to be.

There may be many reasons for it turning out this way, but I will not deny the uncomfortable truth: I had a role in this. Perhaps without my actions, this would have been avoided. For that, I ask for your forgiveness, Genossen. Let this not discourage you. For as long as there is something to struggle for, there will be the struggle and we are the ones who dare to struggle and who dare to win. We will return.

Long live Rheinland
Long live the Bundschuh!”
