My brother and I started a roleplay a long time ago about three men. The description is below:

Taken from the Armster Forums
Quote:The game is based in Microsoft's Freelancer universe. The roleplay is written without the knowledge or approval of Microsoft, and we make no money from the creation of this story.

-About Freelancer-

In Earth's future, the world will become polarized into two factions. The Alliance, and the Coalition. Humanity has explored the solar system, and battles wage between both sides for control of the planets.

The Alliance was losing the conflict though, and in desperation they built in secret, five ships designed to hold hundreds each. They planned to send the ships across the galaxy, out of the reach from the Coalition. The ships were constructed in secret on Pluto, and after launch they punched through the Coalition blockade. They jumped into light speed, and disappeared forever.

Only four ships arrived in the targeted Sirius sector. They were the Liberty, the Bretonia, the Kusari, and the Rhineland. The lost fifth ship was the Hispania.

It would be decades before the refugees from Earth would even contact each other, let alone realize the Hispania had never arrived.

-About the Actors-

This is where we come in.

The Hispania has, in fact arrived. Wrecked and crippled, the Hispania drifted into the sector on failing engines. It's inertia left it drifting slowly on the fringes of the sector, and the majority of it's population died. Some of them escaped their salvation turned tomb, and managed to settle in a nearby system with the aid of the few transport craft available. Others from the wrecked ship took their chances and stuck with the ship as it entered another solar system. Finally, the craft died, and the survivors were forced to abandon it. Thankfully, a nearby world was capable of sustaining life. There they discovered a strange orange grass with an odd chemical make-up. Further analysis of the grass, and indeed everything on the planet revealed a startling fact. The very air, water, and food were all slowly changing their genetic structure, making them dependent on those chemicals to stay alive.

Some of the survivors attempted to stop taking in the chemical, and died for it as their bodies went into withdrawal and then shock from the absence of the chemical. Knowing their fate, the people resigned themselves to being imprisoned on this world. Supplies could not be carried in sufficient quantities to make any distant trips to other worlds possible. The chemical content was simply too low.

The grass that had enraptured them on their arrival however was once again their savior. With processing, the chemical could be extracted and distilled, concentrated into a portable form. Now the survivors had a chance to explore. They met up with their estranged kin, who called themselves the Corsairs, and began a fierce rivalry. When the representatives of the other sleeper ships found them, the survivors were outraged to find themselves treated as second class citizens and criminals. The other groups, calling themselves Houses, refused to recognize the survivors as those from the Hispania.

In anger, the survivors turned away from the other houses, and adopted a new name for themselves. The Outcasts. Their new plan was simple. If they could not belong with the Houses, they would destroy them. They would destroy them with the very substance they were ostracized for. They called it Cardamine, and with it's arrival in the House systems, their revenge would begin.

Now, dear reader, I bet you're wondering: "But Nikolas, where do the three of you come in?"

Well, I'll tell you.

We're the ones who crippled the Hispania.

If you want to check out the story, it's link is in my signature under the link "U.S.S. Armster" it is colored orange for your consideration.

Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

Ummm, I don'T have the time to read the story but:

"We're the ones who crippled the Hispania." Doesn't it enters in conflict with the SCRA history? I believe they are descendants from those who sabotaged the sleeper ship. However, I can be totally wrong.

And hummm Armster makes me think about Hamster :S

It's a separate story from Discovery King. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually, they have been cast as working for the Coalition, so that fits (I think that there is actually some rumor connecting the Coalition to the sabotage in vanilla FL, anyway).

Question is, how does this impact on us here? Or is it just for teh lulz?
