Hi. I've got a heavy bomber, which has 2 Torpedo slots.

My question is this : Azuras and SCAC, or Incapacitator and Nova torpedoes, or a combination. Also, why?

Cheers .

Dual torpedo loadouts can kill you instantly, especially in asteroid fields with dynamic asteroids. SNACS are good against anything, especially when you know how to aim, while Torpedos are only useful against battleships. Torpedos are, of course, more fun and more satisfying than SNACs that usually don't hit snubs and take a while to reload. Torpedos also can easily get CD'd, especially in your own face.

With other words: If you play alone, don't go for torpedos.

It depends on the situation and what situations you find your self in, as Sombra said "Torpedos are only useful against battleships, but also can easily get CD'd", its a question of 'Ranged with chance to hit' versus 'Risk with better chance to hit', the Difference between the Torps and Antimatter Cannons is that it just means your limited to less then 2k range compared to 4k with Nova's with a greater risk of being shot for being in close not to mention energy use being greater with the cannons, the Torps are aim and fire with hope that it doesn't get snuffed out before it hits, you would probably still use Torps more then you would a SNAC.

i mainly stick with an Asuras and SNAC for every day use, as a fellow bomber pilot, but having the other options available some where as a back up for switching them out as needed isn't a bad idea ether, its something i do and its handy if you cant make up your mind. (useful for hyperspace events in particular)

I actually got surprised when I realized that Novas got their range reduced from 2.5(?)K into 1.5K. That's a serious change, because bombers under heavy fire every 100-M counts, as if you fly too close, you won't even react when capital takes you out in two correctly-landed salvoes.
