The Chiefs goons drag Guajardo done the scary depths of human resources at One police plaza. they through him in and decide to give him a few bruises. After beating him to there liking, they pick him up and toss him over the rusty nasty toilet and leave, locking the door on there way out.
Sobbing and crying to himself. Fredro tends to his wounds. He begins to think what was said to him.
*admit to it or i will kill your parents and that girl you like*
Being in the situation he thought he would have to do it. To save his parents and the girl that has no idea he even likes here. Telling the chief he had ownership of a smuggling vessel he had never even heard of sickened him. Slavery and Cardamine were things he fought to diminish in the all of Sirius. A member of a local anti slavery group, he had logged many hours of unpaid work tracing down Slave and Cardamine smuggling vessel between California and Texas.
He now realized his days as a loyal hard working Police office were over. Think he should never had applied to transfer to space. he wished he was still a simple planet side cop. small minded and happy, without the need for zero-g action. Now, he holds a life in prison for something he never done. Only admitting knowledge of the smuggler to save his family.
His becomes tired from the wounds and begins to drift to sleep on the hard mattress that is provided for criminal scum. He wondered if he could explain his situation in a trial and perhaps be aloud at least receive his badge again. Thinking of at least being a planet side cop again, seeing his mother and father keeps him going. Hoping they do not find that he had been wrongfully accused and forced to admit to something.
A man walks into the cell. He is wearing a trench coat and fedora, out of place with the normal prison guards. A cigar clamped between his teeth, he paces the cell as Fredro stares at him in something like fear. After a few minutes, he turns and addresses the squalid man.
"You tired of this hell-hole?" he asks, pulling the cigar out of his mouth for a second, Boston accent heavy on his voice. Fredro nods slowly.
"I wanna be good!"
"My name's Quinn. Frank Quinn. The Chief wanted me to get the facts straight. We understand you had trouble with a certain... Kira Knight?"
Fredro recoils from the name, as if even hearing it hurt him.
"I thought so," the man continued. "I know she set you up, she's off the force. Knowing that it was a coerced confession, we're willing to overlook it and let you back on the force. Or you could get out and leave the LPI, your choice."
"yes, yes, she brainwashed me into thinking that if i never claimed ownership of that vessel she would kill my parents and some girl i have no idea about." Fredro says as he gets up and walks over to the man. "get me out of here."
Hiding in the shadows is Hull O'Brian. It's his day off and he came in to the office to see what was up. When he had seen the Detective head down to the detention level, he followed him down. The was only one person down there right now....
He listened to what transpired, and when he heard Fredro give his reply, he stepped out of the shadows.
"Detective, I will take care of him from here. Fredro, lets go, a quick stop by the locker room and I will take ya home. There are people worried sick about you there, and uh, I think your cats are getting used to me. I stopped by and fed them."
"Come on, lets get out of here"
