Battlecruisers only 10ms slower than any Cruiser. You have to play very carefully when fighting against a Battlecruiser, it can get close before you realize

Normally you wouldn't come that close to a battlecruiser of course, but their reverse speed is very fast at 25ms, so if a battlecruiser decides to thrust backwards to get away from you, you will have to turn. Now this is a common practice for larger ships to make smaller ships come close to them so that they can quickly snap forward and unleash their fire. A battlecruiser will do just the same to try and get you in this super fine range of 1000m and less. Everyone does mistakes once but doing the mistake of getting only a tad too close to a battlecruiser is instant death because that is the moment where a destroyer should be able to run from the behemoth shooting at it but no, it can't, it is too slow. If you are lucky you are at ~900m so if you dodge well enough you will get away but with significantly less hull than before, at 800m and below you are dead.

I don't think it is logical for destroyers to be almost as slow as a battlecruiser (they're already slower in reverse as them in the first place) when they get nothing in return. One mistake and a destroyer suffers a lot.

So what are you suggesting? Do you want to make battlecruisers slower? Then you will have an even easier time killing them with battleships then you have already now, and next to this you will even have a easy time killing them with cruisers. Then what? What are BCs useful for then? They are meant to be cruiser hunters after all. If you have to deal with them and you are on a cruiser, stay on mortar range. And get some backup that is capable to deal with the bc. Afterall, you are flying a cruiser. A small fast annoying thing, equipped with your 2 pulses and mortar, with the ability to slowly drain any battleship on a range where they can only barely touch you. While I have to agree that this isn't working that smoothly in duels, in fleet combat cruisers are a dangerous foe. And disco is not a game to have your silly cap duels in the rp environment, but to clash each other in groups.

Extremely carefully as I have noticed. I will have a closer look at the fights against battlecruisers in the future.

I might be wrong but I am pretty sure battlecruisers were always meant to be battleship hunters due to their long range weaponry and speed compared to them. Before battlecruisers were changed they were very vulnerable to cruisers. If the update has changed this then that would explain the difficulty.

Yes both cruisers and BCs were too tough targets for battleships. With the recent changes the BCs were made vulnerable to battleships but a danger towards any cruiser.

Unfortunately. Everyone forgot the Battle- part in "Battlecruiser" name and what they are meant to be. A hybrid of a Cruiser and a Battleship, meant being superior above both classes at the same time. An agility of a cruiser and a Battleship's Firepower were something that made them unique, but at certain point, people forgot about bombers, and gunboats and then, the saltage has accured. Battlecruisers were slowly turning into battlecruisers as we know them right now.

Anything before this bad update was better, Cruisers had a sense. Now Destroyer Turrets are nerfed, Mortar range nerfed and it turret turn speed sucks now, you cant mortar snubs anymore. Also the whole cruiser class is useless now. Battlecruisers can win cruisers now easily and still win battleships. Way to op. Please bring all the old stats like before this update back. Also undo those cruiser agility nerfs. That just sucks

Well BC's in past been BS killer tools, and in recent rework (NERFFFFFFFFFF) turned in cruiser killers.

I was big fan of BC's before and the only one i ride now is because is the only cap i can use in that specific tag.

If i can use a BS instead, ill do. Either a BS or a heavy cruiser, not a dessie.

I would like if old stats where back, even if just for a week (so i kill shooter some more times Smile )

But i dont think will happen. As someone said to me "thats it, adapt or leave" as i couldnt leave, im using BS's and Heavy cruisers instead BC's and light cruisers
