Vergil Manifesto

Humankind has always been developing new means of communication. Art, spoken word, writing, printing, radio, television, computers, telecommunication, networking, FTL data transmission, the Neural Net. Each more robust and advanced than the other, yet fundamentally flawed; as the goal of communication is to express ideas as purely as possible, sometimes ideas which cannot be confined by language or picture. The Vergil Foundation seeks to remedy this problem.

For years we've worked on developing a unique means of communication, the Vergil -- a direct interface between a human brain and a computer. The Foundation's goal is to assist in development of sustainable and affordable systems around this technology. Dedicated to the evolution of Vergil, we aim to ensure that everyone can get equal access to the ground-breaking technology of brain-machine interface.

We recognise that such technology is not without dangers and as such all of the specifications, hardware schematics, underlying architecture and software source code is, and forever will be free and open to access. Vergil has been designed responsibly, with the safety of the individual first on our list of priorities.
