This is a faction proposal which will probably not take effect here. However, since I like the idea very much, I feel someone else may as well and might like to run it here for representation. It's in development and suggestions are more than welcome. No flaming/stupidity please :/

Premise
Soon after the settlement of Malta began circa 50 A.S., cardamine was recognized as a highly viable cash crop with immense potential for marketing to the House populations. However, widespread use of the gene-altering substance led to widespread economic sanctions imposed on the so-called Outcasts who had funded massive development of Planet Malta. Quickly criminalizing cardamine, the Houses, notably Kusari and Liberty, mounted the high moral ground with their zero-tolerance policy towards the drug.

Such a turn of events was life-changing for many who grew and shipped cardamine on Malta; some of the dons who effectively ran the planet by that time foresaw a radical departure from previous Maltese glory should this regressive trend of cardamine use continue.

As power distributed itself over several dons, a splinter faction formed, breaking away from the dominant (and stagnant) one-party system in 809 A.S. Unhappy with dwindling cardamine prices and furious at the exclusive nature of Liberty and Kusari joint policy, the group named itself the Expansionist Party. In controlling, through political subterfuge, the means to produce and otherwise obtain military equipment, these "warmongering" dons proceeded to assert control in key systems surrounding Omicron Alpha. The belief in the Expansionist cause was fueled primarily by the argument that, by expanding the Maltese influence within Sirius, houses such as Kusari and Liberty would be compelled to acknowledge Malta's legitimacy.

Today, the Expansionist Party has gained followers and momentum. These are its goals:
  • to furtively sabotage GMG operations in Sigma-19 in order to assist smugglers entering Kusari space
  • to assert control of Freeport 10 in the Tau-37 system
  • to gradually decriminalize cardamine via blackmail and bribery of Kusari/Liberty officials
  • to gradually educate the people of Sirius of the long-term benefits of cardamine use
  • to invest in mining operations in the Omega systems to further Maltese influence and support the Hessian cause
  • to assemble spacefaring power so as to back Maltese bark with Maltese bite
  • to cooperate peacefully with non-Expansionist factions

You can do it here, but the place to advertise other servers isn't in this thread - Thankyou - Hoodlum

Apologies Hood! Just for understanding, the main reason I pointed out where it was going was so that I wouldn't get alot of crap about "we don't need another Outcast faction." Understood though, advertisement removed.

Here's some feedback:
I don't know if these factions in the diplomacy are actual playerfaction names, but otherwise you forgot the Golden Chrysanthemums as allies.
These cardi-addicted chicks would help a long way in establishing a cardi-market in Kusari.

Also, I'd recommend you narrow down the transport ships to the Borderworlds Transport, Pirate Transports and Pirate Trains.
These transport ships make sense for Outcasts to fly, instead of flying the corporate trains..

Better put the CR and IMG on the hostile there, as they would not like any of your objectives, especially the taking over Freeport in Tau-37, as it is of vital importance to the IMG, it's a Zoner's refuge for IMG and helps a lot with distributing of the mined goods.
Not to mention the hostilities between all Outcast faction and the CR especially, as well as IMG.

Swift, remember that this is not on our server. The CR probably doesn't exist there..

Everything but the Freeport capturing. Those are bases by Zoners, for all.

As for the Omega mining, I'd allow no more than up to a gunboat [including transports]. Same with the Sigmas. We don't need to capwhore the Corsairs and GMG.

Seems like a reasonable idea, though what I'd like to see is a party attempting to re-unite the Hispanic Nation.

Suggestions taken; CR omitted. "Investment in mining" is ambiguous on purpose.

The Tau-37 operation is more along the lines of establishing a ZOI around FP10, not taking it over.

Thanks for the feedback though!

Anyone can go to a Freeport. Even if you shouldn't be there, you can dock on a Freeport. The entire reason why they're called Freeports.

// Despite the Zoner policy of neutrality, many tug at them. Of course an occupation of the area around FP10 is controversial and in violation of neutrality... I feel it can spice up the area. The Zoner presence in the Lonelicrons has long struggled to remain neutral with the Outcasts and Corsairs and breaking this stalemate is among the RP goals of the Party. Whether it actually becomes anything is an entirely different matter.
