The last breath

Communication neural net SAT-E2347
Connected users: Dr. Berg, Dr.Alferov

<Dr.Berg> How is her condition, Anton?
<Dr.Alferov> Doctor, I really would like to say that everything is fine with her. But we already conducted biometric analysis and the results were far from positive. Do I have to tell the diagnosis again?
<Dr.Berg> Let's just meet there. And you will say it again.
<Dr.Alferov> Horosho, see you in a medical bay Alpha-Two in a couple of minutes.

White walls. White ceiling. White floor. The emblems of the research group are everywhere. It seems that this place really needed an artist, otherwise patients who are not very lucky to be here can go crazy from such an environment.
Large glazed doors opened and two people entered the room. A woman in a rumpled robe and a mug of coffee in her hands, she looked as if she hadn't managed to get enough sleep for a month. Or two. However, it was close to the truth, given how much she had to work. The eyesight of the gray eyes were directed into the void, and the face showed only indifference to what is happening. Next to her was a man in the same lab coat, though in the best condition. It can not be said that he looked better, but his face was more alive. By habit of exchanging glances, they approached the hospital bed in the center of the room.
On it lay a woman, plastered with numerous sensors that track the patient's condition. On the side of the metal table lay a military uniform, glasses with an orange visor and weapon.

The face of the woman looked calm, like the whole room. Only a quiet sound of footsteps and a squeak of sensors broke the silence. Approaching the operative, both people at first simply looked at her until the doctor fell to her knees before the bed, laying her head on the chest of the operative. A few deep groans escaped from her chest, after which she began to cry. For the first time in a long time. Probably too long. Tears fell from her cheeks, soaking into the blanket, however the man in front of her did nothing.
— She isn't so bad, doctor. This woman survived a radioactive background sufficient to kill an entire army while piloting a burning fighter. Why can not she do it again? In addition, we are all close and we are all ready to get her life out of the ass, in which she shoved it.
However, his words did not have any effect. The woman just said:
— This all is my mistake, Anton. Why did I let her go on this suicide mission?
He answered:
— Probably, because it was her own decesion? She would fly there anyway, she could steal a damn fighter and do whatever she wants. She is stupid and stubborn, Kat. You could do nothing about it. And if you really want to help her, then stop this melodramatic bullshit, stand up and help me to find the way to help her.
And indeed. A woman in a coat stood up and looked at her colleague with red eyes from tears:
— What is the diagnosis?
The man breathed a sigh of relief. He always knew that the doctor would not suffer for a long time and would rather act:
— Radiation sickness in extreme severity, severe burns, spinal injury, fractures. In the end, she is not infected by aliens, which is already excellent.
— What can we do?
— Continue what we are doing and hope that soon she will wake up. In the end, we have all the means necessary for this.
The woman nodded weakly and turned sharply. In a second there was only a man and patient left in the room. Sighing, he put the token on her chest and soon left the room as well.
White walls. White ceiling. White floor.
And the ray of hope.
