Founded in 824 A.S. by bio-engineer and chemist Klaus Winkler. LTT is a small company dedicated to researching and pioneering new and more effective methods of terraforming. Taking advantage of Liberty's lax laws on bio-engineering and terraforming, LTT is seeking to find a spot on a market dominated by Planetform Incorporated which despite its size and knowledge is handicapped by years of green activism, a more restrictive Bretonian law and intense public scrutiny over its activities. In addition, LTT is taking a much more aggressive and different approach in terraforming by putting emphasis and research on bio-engineered flora and fauna which is designed to dominate and eradicate the native species or survive and thrive in a hostile environment while producing the gases necessary to terraform a planet to levels optimal for human living.
After some promising results and breakthroughs, the small company was purchased by Synth Foods interested in its research and potential which could be used on its food products as well. Liberty Terraforming & Technology however largely maintains its autonomy and receives little oversight.
LTT's current major contract as well as scientific focus is Planet Edmonton in Alberta system. Contracted by Universal Shipping Inc. to provide analysis and solutions to the icy world of Edmonton, the company has been provided with an entire floor in Platinum Incorporated which they converted into multiple labs for testing and analysis. In addition LTT received a full hangar bay from where research teams can easily travel to the planet and bring samples or conduct other activities. The hangar bay as well as the laboratories are completely restricted to non-LTT personnel due to bio-hazard concerns.

Structure
The company is led by President Winkler with a Vice President appointed by Synth Foods and oversees its general activities but does not get directly involved. It is divided to five departments, each one led by a Head Researcher and a Project Manager who oversee roughly 15 Researchers. The company also owns a few transports which are used to procure specialized items. A small mining team is also contracted for missions on Planet Edmonton.

Myself and a few others tried using the Synth Foods ID a long while back and rapidly discovered the reasons why it's so usually unused.

Ingame activities is the shortcoming of every research faction. Indeed most of our RP will be posted on the forums, not in ingame chats. Our activities on the server would consist of trading very specific commodities related to our activities in Planet Edmonton. Except that we'd also engage in smuggling nomad remains as well as interacting and negotiating with those nomad hunters. Finally, we are going to meet potential clients or other fellow researchers on our research ships. The end goal of our Planet Edmonton contract is the eventual terraforming of the planet though we don't know what the dev team is planning for Alberta.
These are our current ingame activities. Probably more will be added as the faction develops.
