Spaceship Crews

I just purchased a larger ship, and I'm looking for perhaps some crew to help operate it. I'm wondering 2 things...

1) What type of crew are there and where can I get them? I see Spaceship Crew, Capital Ship Crew, etc.
2) If I die at some point, do my crew all go with my cargo? I don't want to have to fly around buying crew every time I die.

Unfortunately you do have to buy the crew everytime you die.
In-game limitations im afraid.

And about where you buy them i would say you can buy them on most major planets- though there might be a few other places where you can buy them. Also; there are not many types of crew just a couple, i tend to keep to spaceship crew.

Spaceship Crew, H-Fuels, Oxygen, Luxury foods, Water, the basics. Death equals loss of all cargo.

what about pharmacueticals, and consumer goods like clothes and tings to keep them entertained. I think i'll just say my ship recycles all it's air and water though, cause I already haul around enough RP cargo.
