I think Ice Princess forgot this was an age 10 and under community. Oof.

On a serious note though this is probably the best way to go about things:

You guys should just start out as Freelancers. Freelancers that are open about reaching out to the Nomads for peace maybe?

You might want to keep things quiet otherwise you'll make your ingame life hell. Also don't expect the nomads to see you as friendly at all any time soon as at the end of the day you're just another human that needs to die for their treachery of invading Sirius. Other factions that have a relation to the Nomads have put in lots of time and effort to get where they are so don't think this will be an easy ride. I certainly will be attacking you guys in game until I see decent progress made.
