I seem to have some issues with ping as well. Its not the ping itself, its around 60ms all the tiime, but the loss may be 7, the lag may be 6% and so on. And i made sure its not my pc, nor my connection, it never was this bad, say, three months ago.

Ive been having lag issues as well, though I think it is my current ISP at this moment.

I've noticed the same thing. My ping used to be 70-90, but recently it's closer to 100ms with fluct and packet loss increased too. Laggers have a small but cumulative effect on others also.

Flying under radar.

I would humbly suggest, as I have to do it ... If you are experiencing ludicrously high ping, and packet loss ...
Don't log in please. You spoil it for others, wait till it has cleared.
As Loogas has pointed out, you drag the damn server down, and then everyone else complains about lag
as well.

pinging from the CMD got a ping of between 75-78ms. yet i still doubt its the sever as Xfire shows that the ping for the Disco sever is 333ms but it also says a JKA sever is 356ms

ok sorry for the triple post but this is really annoying me now i carnt play any games online for most of the day, and carnt play them at all on week days, but when i ping the severs i want to play on from the CMD bar it gets nice pings of just under or above 100, yet when i actually get down to playing them i get pings of above 400 and i carnt even connect on my PS3 as i get timmed out can someone please help me, so far ive made sure there isnt any spyware one any of the computers (it made no difference) and run an optimiser (again no difference), If someone has any ideas on why this might be and how to solve it i would really appriciate it

' Wrote:ping the server from the Command prompt.
This works perfectly fine, because Windows uses a different packet size (Or so I have been told)

I have another thread on this elsewhere. Every day I get home at 3:20PM. At 4:30PM my ping goes from 350 to about 2500. My ping to the states goes from about 160 to 800 and my ping to Australia goes from about 30 to 500.

I ping an Australian BF2 server in the CMD, and my ping is 29, in Xfire its 320 in the game its 386.

I ping Discovery-USA in the CMD, my ping is 240 in game its 840 and Xfire reads a clean 600 though and though.

I ping Discovery GC in CMD, my ping is 390, 1400 in Xfire and 2200 in game.

Anything national is fine. I can ping New Zealand Battlefield 2 servers owned by my ISP at 4 to 7 MS

I can ping any New Zealand ISP at 10 to 20 and any other game in New Zealand at about 20 to 30.
I can download anything from any server internationally at the same speed I would usually be able to download at. Browsing is fine, connection is fine.

Yet Australia still sits on 6 to 700ms! I'm planning on complaining to my ISP. They say the require a weeks proof of this happening before they can submit a report ticket to Telecom. (my ass)
