ok its simple as this,

are pirates(Unlawfuls) allowed too collect bounties posted by lawful's(including bounty hunters) even if it means killing the enemy or the ally of you're enemy.
also the same for lawful's collecting unlawful bounties, such as BH's collecting bounties posted by (corsairs,Junkers<- they are unlawful)
i personally think that this is completely oorp and should be coverd by these rules:

6.2 Out of Roleplay (OORP):
In-game tag seen before the name must match the ID as closely as possible. It is not allowed to have the tag not match ID category. For example, it is prohibited to have 'Police' tag and 'Pirate' ID.

Equipment used must match tag and ID as closely as possible. For example, it is not allowed for Corsairs to use Outcast ships and guns.

All reputations should be in accordance with the faction followed, all enemies must be red, at least during the course of a player - player combat

6.6 PvP combat is allowed only on roleplay basis. The pilot who is attacking must scan for an ID prior to the attack. Relying on general reputation status (red/neutral/green) without scanning for the ID is not allowed.

Non-RP attacks are considered PvP abuse and are sanctioned accordingly.

thanks.

You know, there is a rule change suggestion thread, only open for a limited time... Also most bounties restrict who can collect on them andif I remember correctly the ID restricts what type of bounties you can collect on (lawful vs. unlawful). Edit: no they do not, at least not in this version, however I do think it is covered by being OORP and I dont think any lawful would pay out to an unlawful or vice versa.

When I ran the shadow stalkers organisation with DO back in the day, we used to collect bounties only on unlawfuls. However, we took bounties from lawfuls and unlawfuls against unlawfuls.

Half the reason for this was because the bounty business really didn't have anything going for it at the time. I tried to stir up some business in Rheinland, but the RM rejected me every time (except once when the SCRA invaded).

I dont think its out of roleplay at all for a bounty hunter to collect on a bounty against an unlawful which is also set by an unlawful. Its killing two birds with one stone. Getting paid by a criminal to hit another criminal. If this were covered by the rules, I'd be sorely disappointed.

I think, McNeo, that Cosmos is asking if an unlawful can collect a bounty place by a lawful.

more than likely no.

Why would a Bounty Hunter pay a Corsair to kill a Hessian? Or a Unioner to kill a Xenos. Both, to a lawful Bounty Hunter, would be a threat to the BHG.

I also don't agree with a Bounty Hunter collecting from an unlawful. A merc, perhaps, but said merc better not work for that faction he just collected on again.

btw. you spout a lot of ooc in an rp forum Cosmos.

After looking around some more I think who can collect the bounty is completely dependent on the individual RP of that particular situation. If a lawful wants an unlawful dead bad enough he will pay anyone to do it.

I think this may help settle it:

' Wrote:Notice from the offices of ADMINistration...

Corsairs are not allowed to fulfill lawful bounty contracts. One set up by a Bounty Hunter against a Red Hessian, qualifies as a lawful bounty.

made some cuts but the meaning is still the same, click the link if you disbelieve.
