Battlegroup Dresden is one of the Red Hessian Army's battlegroups. The battlegroup was formed later, a few months after the commissioning of the RHB Dresden in 822 A.S., a battleship of the RH-D1 class. Initially, it was tasked with the guarding of the Omega-54 system, being one of the Hessians's key system, that also contains Wolfsburg, the only shipyard the Hessians own. In 825 A.S., more vessels were made to assist the Dresden, thus the entire battlegroup was formed. After hearing the news of the Aland takeover, the Dresden was now tasked with aiding the IMG in the defense of Aland, in 826 A.S.. The Bretonians decided to make a diversion to distract the Hessians away from Aland so their marines could breach it and take it over completely. The Dresden was involved in the diversion too, destroying several Bretonian ships, and leaving with moderate damage. As the news of the complete takeover reached the Red Hessian High Command's ears, the Dresden was ordered to pull back to Omega-54, guarding it once again. Now, the battlegroup organizes regular patrols within the surrounding region, mostly the western and southern Omegas, and occasional raids in Rheinland. The battlegroup is composed of one battleship, their flagship, and other capital ships of lower class.
