"Documentation: Razgriz Blackhole"

"A black hole is a region of spacetime exhibiting gravitational acceleration so strong that nothing - no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape from it."

When a massive enough star collapses, it creates a region of space where gravity is so strong that even light can't escape it. This region is called "event horizon", it's the point of no return unless your speed is above the speed of light. At the center, depending in the blackhole type, there's a singularity. An infinitely dense point in space where our understanding of time breaks down. What's happening there? We're not sure, but we know the regular physics break down and only Quantum mechanics rule the place.

(A good way to detect objects with extreme mass is to check for gravitational lensing of stars)

(Blackhole gravity well)

Gravity affects time, the more gravity there is concentrated in one point, the slower the time gets. A common example are satellites in planet's orbit, which in comparison to the clock time on the planet are "in future". This has to be accounted for when doing triangulation of a target. Another property of blackholes are their spin. Each spin affects gravity differently and can be employed as a good way to measure its speed from afar. A spinning blackhole does not have a single central point of singularity, instead, it's a Ringularity. A super-dense point of matter which circles around blackhole's center.

Observing XRay brightness from afar can give quite a clear picture of what properties the target blackhole has. Razgriz blackhole has Prograde rotation and can be used to create a blackhole bomb, or, propagate massive gravity distortion through the entire sirius. Currently, it's the point of fueling for Singularity Reactors by catching the virtual particles around the blackhole, which usually just pop up and annihilate each other in an instant. Unfortunatelly, this process takes away a slight amount of mass and the rotational speed of the blackhole. On the other side, we're keeping its mass and speed by throwing large enough asteroids into it.

Position of Razgriz blackhole and it's gravitational shift makes the detection of Any installations within Omicron Phi impossible from Sirius or Gallic space. ~Lotarra Sirran

Among its unique properties, it's the most valuable entity a Nation can own. Technology descending from its research may find no equal counterparts. ~Shadowwalker
