What I noticed is that a lot of these border worlds are named after the seas on the northern Hemisphere
Laptev Sea
Bering Sea
Sea of Galilee (Galileo)
Sea of Cortez
Straight of Magellan
Hudson Bay

Only one I can't find is Kepler

While not a bad track @Altejago , I think they actually reference Explorers:

Bering, Vitus Bering (1681–1741), Danish-born navigator in the service of the Russian Navy

Coronado, Francisco Vásquez de Coronado (1510–1554), Spanish explorer often referred to simply as "Coronado"

Drake, Sir Francis Drake (1540–1596) was an Elizabethan privateer and naval hero.

Galileo, Galileo Galilei, the famous Astronomer

Kepler, Johannes Kepler, another famous astronomer

Laptev, Dmitry Laptev (1701–1771), Russian explorer

Inverness, Bit of an odd ball name, named after a location in Scotland could stand with a rename unless Bretonia decides to lay claim to it, other wise perhaps Mawson or Mackay?

Puerto Rico, Another odd ball suppose it too could go with a rename, Ponce De Leon or Columbus could both be reasonable choices for a rename

Vespucci, Amerigo Vespucci, Italian explorer, assistant of Christoph Columbus and after whom the American continent was named.

Zurich, Chosen for its relative location to the French/German border? Not sure here, seeing as it is classified as a Independant World, it could go with a rename but I do not see that being 100% needed, though if it were renamed perhaps Champlain, Cousteau or even Cartier?
That out of the way, with the Laptev Change proposal here, I actually really enjoy this idea of making it a fun little pocket system. Would make it fun interesting and more then a little exciting to explore a bit.

Sent me a Comm? Haven't received a reply in a reasonable time span? Sorry! Post here and I'll get back to you asap!

I suggest to change the name first because its nothing like freelancer.

I mean jesus who comes up with laptev

Laptev is named after Laptew, The borderworlds/independent worlds are always named after historical explorers and conquerors. Magellan, Cortez, Bering, Hudson, Galileo and Kepler as well as Vespucci and Coronado, and by extension Drake.

Either that or Lyth passed his doobie on to the devs so they took his Core destroyer as reference here.

Edit: Baffin

Laptev is actually named (more) after Dmitry Laptev.

The next Independent worlds to be added, should we end up doing so, are slated to be Huygens and Balboa.

Anyway, I really hope this bears fruit.
