Our spaceborne brothers strive to spread their wings to all of us.

And teach the lowest ant in the hill

To fly.

Two syndicates, indeed.

From the roots, to the tops of the tree,

We are one body, under the sheathes and star.

Autumn, 826 AS:

The reforms of the Frei era have finally stabilised the Union's internal factions behind a united Syndicalist front. Piracy rates have fallen over the last several months as the Unioners have bided their time, rebuilding their infrastructure and industry in the wake of the Wedel atrocity at the hands of the Red Hessians and the Coalition - The Syndicalists remain divided forever from their revolutionary rivals. A footnote in the history of the Union has sealed itself forever, only to open new libraries.

Established in necessity and soon forged into a haven, the so-called 'new guard' of young Unioner activists have transformed the Republic's Vierlande supermax into a haven of Unioner industry, free from the constraints of the corporatocracies. The old internal division of prior Unioner direktorates has died in the ash of the Vierlande siege.

Where the Unioners go, the corporations have followed, taking inspiration from the very same workforces they rob. The Unioner presence in the Gallic edgeworlds have been soon followed by corporate shippers. The Rheinland economy has grown, and markets soar, in the wake of the Rheinlandic Navy's victory in the Sigma 21 campaign; but cracks are appearing at the edge of the beaurocracy.

Perhaps the Unioners, after so many years of introspection, will forge a place in the coming tide?
