Sitting at a tavern table by himself, the well decorated Commander sat. Before him was a half gone blue glass of chech'tluth. The crowd was moderate but he still had his favorite table in a corner to himself, facing the incoming and outgoing patrons. Taking another sip from his glass, he started reading the news on the com screen before him.
"Liberty Declares War On Rheinland"
He raised an eyebrow and scratched his chin. "Hm," he mumbled to himself as he took a communicator from his pocket. Looking around him briefly and verifying his solitude, he quietly spoke into it.
"Kalimus," he said quietly but firmly, "drop what you're doing and get to the tavern." He then closed it and put it back in his pocket.
Within a few short minutes, the Commander's faithful 1st officer arrived as ordered.
"Yes, Commander, what is it?" he asked.
Korg then turned the com screen towards him. Almost instantly, Kalimus smiled at his commander.
"We have made Liberty our home here on Houston," said Korg, "we must work with the police and Navy to protect it."
"Agreed," replied Kalimus, "that and the incident with the Rheinland police last week only makes us more determined. We're still under repair for that."
"Hm," replied Korg as he nodded in agreement.
"But what about other Klingons around Sirius?" asked Kalimus.
"Like in our home world, they will choose sides," explained the veteran Korg to his young first officer. "Most of them are residing around either Liberty or in Zoner space, trying to find there place."
"Like Matok?" asked Kalimus.
"Yes, like Matok," replied Korg. "He is one Klingon I worry very little about. So for now, Kalimus, let us prepare ourselves for a long war. I want you to monitor ship repairs and even look into the purchase of something larger."
"Yes sir," he replied and headed off to do his commander's bidding.
Then, Korg again made a private comm call to an undisclosed person and ordered another drink.
