Reaper recruitment is different in many ways. There is no recruitment thread where you have yourself filling for your life career or just drop your information. The Reapers are about the journey, the story, puzzle pieces spread around and the assumptions others make.
Everyone is welcome trying but everyone who does needs realising that with moving into stage 2 you are agreeing on your character's permanent death. This is a requirement for joining the Reapers.
Still, making it into stage 2 is no guarantee that you will reach stage 3 and initiation.
Only one post per character and PM it to the Death's society forums account by using the following template.
Write your character's story.
Stories should not be much other than a slice of life. A biography to it's full extent is not what is wanted but instead a glimpse into the life of your character, at a selected point in their life. That point though is close to your character's initiation to the Reapers. Write thrilling, whet the reader's appetite for more, do not overexplain all bits and parts but imply, leave space for imagination, throw in a cliffhanger or two. Building suspension is key, relieving some is too. Leave your readers behind with questions, on events and on your character, but leave breadcrumbs so your reader can slowly gain an understanding as the story continues.
Once you receive a confirmation for going ahead with your story, you proceed to stage 2. With this you are asked sharing your contact details for Discord in a PM, clearing up questions and sharing your thoughts there.
Should you not receive a confirmation, it means that your character was not considered for joining the ranks at this point. You are encouraged continuing your story and perhaps receive a confirmation later.
STAGE 2
Continue your character's story.
Now you are writing about how previous events unfold and what impacts this make on your character. Remember how you built suspension before and continue with the most interesting plot points. Do not forget hinting at other events of your previous story, imply other adventures or a closing for them.
It is important that with this stage's end, your character will inevitably die. Make it count.
Once you receive a confirmation for going ahead with your story, you proceed to stage 3.
Should you not receive a confirmation, it means that your character was not considered for joining the ranks at this point. You gave it your all but it just was not what the Reapers were looking for.
STAGE 3
Here you must create a new account that you are using for your Reaper roleplay only and it is advised not sharing information who is behind that account with anyone outside the Reapers.
Write your initiation ritus.
You have reached the final stage and now you must detail how your character is taken into the Reaper's ranks and how they first became their new self.
