Fred Walter, grandson of an Rheinlandian immigrant, grew up on Planet Pittsburgh and spent most of his adult live as a freighter pilot for Deep Space Engineering shipping boron from Pittsburgh to Baltimore Shipyard. He recently lost his wife and daughter as collateral damage to a mining accident. After some therapy he decided to resettle to his grandfathers home of New Berlin and is now applying as a freighter pilot at Daumann Heavy Construction.

Previous occupation: Chief of mining operations on Solaris Station in the Omega-11 system later became the Chief of mining operations on Briesen Mining Facility in Omega-7.
Other skills & experience: I've worked for more than fifteen years for Daumann Heavy Constructions all across Rheinland and the Omegas.

Born on Planet New Berlin, I always had an interest in minerals and logistics. After I graduated from the Technische Universität Holstein I quickly became Chief of mining operations on Solaris Station in Omega-11 and later on the Briesen Mining Facility of Omega-7. After fifteen years working for Daumann Heavy Constructions, I tried my luck in the Omicrons and joined a subgroup of APM called "Polaris" which didn't turn out in my favor and I decided to come back to Rheinland and continue working for DHC.

Hans Schafer hails from a long line of miners in Rheinland. Born and raised in the industrial heart of New Berlin, Hans has always been surrounded by the mining and construction industries. After losing his parents in a tragic accident at a Daumann Heavy Construction site, he and is brother Axel were raised by their grandparents, who instilled in him a strong work ethic and a determination to excel.

Hans pursued a dual path in space engineering and piloting, graduating with honors from the New Berlin Space Academy. His early career saw him working in various capacities, from mining operations to security escorts. His technical expertise and hands-on experience in both mining and combat make him a valuable asset.
