As an ex-angel, I have to agree that it was a great idea to implement and we used to get many of newcomers who were looking for some information. Most probably we were the entry level into the roleplay part of this server by informing them about the possibilities via personal messages and involving them into small rp situations, like mining, or hauling.
Some of them came back after months just to say thank you and random donations happened also quite often in order to share the kindness they got when they started with the next wave of newcomers.
I agree that there is no need for a tag to help new players, however with given details like devito mentioned you can help them much more effectively as a faction member created for this purpose.
Also to sit in Penny was never an issue due to tons of personal messages in the meantime, also its a good opportunity to "act" also while taking them into the mining fields or just flying there during your spare time and to pour some drops of RP into their cup of tea.

We dont NEED presidents , Emperors,Kings,Dictators and other self proclaimed Leaders (or fasly elected) , and most of people who have working brain, wuld like nothing more to banish such concepts from humantity, but they are sad reality and they will use any media they own or lives of every soldier and police officer to stay on power, even if that means causing world war or global Pandemic,like have alwais did in history of humanity.
