Claiming to have ties to both sides of the law, yet by diplo aligning itself with the Enclave against the Gallic authorities and the government (also still calling it a provisional govt), claiming to be the sole survivor family of the end of the civil war, despite the name "Unione Corse"... all these details sound like self-contradiction, lack of knowledge regarding UC, and regarding recent developments around Gallia itself. There's a lot to look and catch up, I'm afraid.

I admit my knowledge of Gallia is somewhat limited, though.
Hello.
The Les Affranchis represents particular portion of the Unione Corse that held power in the old Monarchy. The Unione Corse in the past has had a history of utilizing a favored position among lawful entities to better hide it's illegal activities. Since the families in this group (including the one mentioned in the lore) were Nobles, it would only make sense that their stance is Pro-Royalist. The Monarchy gave them power, without it - they lose that power.
