The Republic of Liberty does not recognize the military coup as the self-proclaimed government power in Rheinland. The Imperial Government of Rheinland, as they have taken to identifying themselves, seized power in a violent uprising against the democratically-elected state, and appears to be intent on the suppression of any form of resistance to their new totalitarian state. Their claim their rise to power was through fair and unbiased polling, but the ongoing civil discourse and violence shows nothing of the sort.

The Republic of Liberty officially recognizes the Federal Republic of Rheinland as the de-facto authority of the House of Rheinland, and any other claims have been dismissed.
