This is Daimyo Kamakura Minamoto, leader of Clan Minamoto of the Nakai Blood Dragon Shogunate. Our sources informed us that the KNF fleet has left Rishiri (Tau-53) and has pushed into Lorraine and possibly into Burgundy.

The Shogunate has been fighting these traitors and their puppet emperor for a long time. Thus, it is our opinion that should KNF be successful in achieving their goals regarding Gallia, they will turn their firepower towards the Taus. Although we used to have a thriving relation with the dwellers of Tau-44, for reasons that are yet unclear, Crayter Republic has been winding down their relation with the Shogunate.

The Natio has provided the Shogunate with logistics help whenever asked, thus we are here to offer help in repelling any attack of the KNF on your people or installations.

My name is Harold Kane, Taskmaster-Adjutant of Natio Octavarium. I appreciate you reaching out to bring our two nations closer together in these difficult times.

The KNF has indeed moved further into the Taus than we had hoped they would. While they haven't entered our home system yet, they have besieged and claimed a Crayterian outpost in Tau-31 -- granted, one that they themselves took from the Gallic royalists when the war ended -- which is a clear sign of war between our supposed mutual allies and a house military that probably has more rank and file members than the entire Crayter civilian population and that was mostly unaffected by the second half of the Gallic War.

While I'm glad someone is going to give Kusari's government a hard time, I would rather it be people who know what they are doing and who are of sound tactical and strategic minds. Crayter's leadership is unstable at best and downright mutinous at worst; a couple years ago, they had an intelligent fleet admiral who knew what the smart play was, but he "disappeared" after the Natio attempted to buy the Crayter Republic out of the Tau-44 system. The following fleet admiral was replaced within months. Then another. The most recent one, well, I last talked to them when they were sending ultimatums to the Kusari Naval Forces leadership and they wanted our support in waging symmetric warfare.

I don't know if they're still a fleet admiral or if they've ended up at a black site as well. I'm betting on the latter; symmetric warfare is impossible when one side is a full house and the other is a jingoistic Verhoevenian micronation and a few thousand ex-pirates and ex-mercenaries with all of two rebuilt cruisers defending a hundred thousand civilians in a single space station.

That being said... a few thousand ex-pirates are very well versed in asymmetric warfare, and none of us here have really ever liked the megacorporations of Samura and Kishiro anyways. We not only appreciate your kindness and willingness to help us defend our people, but we would happily "earn our keep" so to speak in operations against the corporations propping up the false ruling government of Kusari.

It is unfortunate that Crayter's disarray has come at such a time. Nevertheless, war does not wait for the unprepared, and we are always prepared.
Our fleets are moving in Rishiri in order to cut off the supplies line to the KNF fleets situated deeper into Gallic territories. We will catch their battle groups in a vice between our forces and the Gallic fleets.

That being said, as Crayter has been taken out of the equation in this war, we are unable to field capital assets so far from our core territories. Nevertheless we are now looking at the possibility of detaching a small battle group to help defending Canbera Star should the KNF ever show up in Tau-44. Unfortunately, our assets are concentrated in the the battle in Kusari, thus we cannot send any heavier vessels. Additionally, should you be interested we can send a cruise disruption field generator - this satellite sized area of denial weapon will disable all cruise capabilities in radius of 10k around itself.

Furthermore, it is our hope that we can establish a viable information sharing network to better our intelligence sharing capabilities.

The relative non-presence of Crayter assets in our sometimes-regrettably-shared home system is troubling at times, but as of now, the Kusari military has not made significant incursions into our territory. We expect this to change soon, though, as the Ministry of Relations has authorized Octavarium military forces as well as registered citizens to engage Kusari corporations in privateering. This activity will surely bring the Kusari Naval Forces to our door, but we are ready for it. Your offer of an interdiction sphere is appreciated. At this time we are not directly in need of one and our ports are still completely open to visiting civilian traffic, but I will be sure to reach out if the situation changes for the worse.

I will inform the Octavarium Intelligence Commission to reach out to your intelligence branch. I'm sure there's a wealth of knowledge to be pooled, both about the Kusari military and entities adjacent to it.
