Glad you managed to get it working. I find Disco trade routes are fairly "balanced", so If FLCompanion is screaming a route that is 1.5x - 3x more profitable p/sec than the other good routes then it is mostly likely involve Snub / Freighter only wormhole or planetary docking (eg Planet Tomika, Kurile etc).
Good to know that, at least I managed to get Volgograd Munitions to Cairo with only a couple jumps more so it's not that bad, as you've said the route doesn't really use trade lanes and the AI can't really harass me so it's fine.
