Goodday, former enemy. I'm Sir Henry Fairfax, you will refer to me with Sir and always with Sir, and I serve the Kingdom of Bretonia as her Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. Can't really say it's a pleasure to meet you, young lady, you do have a bit of a violent history behind yourself. But alright, you're still very young, there is time to learn politics!

I'd rather not hold you lessons about it, it's in Bretonia's interest not to correct her competitors when they are makin' a mistake, but this directly concerns Bretonia, so I must. You've offered quite a chunk for Aland, alright, but you've got an idealist view on i' all.

See, I like a good offer. Who doesn't? But when a customer wishes to buy somethin' from you, you must be sure they intend to pay too! And we, we aren't. We've go' enough IMG knives in our backs to supply a Kusarian fish restaurant and we don't want another one. You've got to offer somethin' as collateral. South Shields and the Hood look quite nice to me. The Hood stinks a bit, aye, but pecunia non olet as they say, eh?

Sir Fairfax.

In a spirit of respect - i kindly accept your suggestion, and will refer to you, Sir, in the manner you find most appealing, that is a minor concern to me.

With that in mind - i will allow myself to approach your Office, Sir, with a counteroffer. However, before that happens - i deem it necessary to clarify something: Hood is a wreck. A wreck beyond any reasonable repair. It is not capable of independent movement, it's weapon and life support systems are barely functional and about half of it's decks are not even pressurised. This is the major reason your initial offer, Sir, have confused me - why would the Kingdom spare significant resources to tow Hood to a shipyard, literally rebuild it from scratch - only to have it decomissioned a couple years after in spite of a monetary donation that will be very well enough to construct a newer, higher grade warship to replace Hood, that is only as good as salvage material?

The counteroffer is as follows: the Guild will rise it's initial bid to 100 (one hundred) billion standart Sirius credits, and will transfer administrative rights of South Shields refinery to Bretonian corporate interest of your choice.

I see no reason for you to look down on it, Sir, but what would be your opinion on my counter offer? I am open to hearing it.

Good, good, very good! I was only asking for South Shields as a collateral, but a permanent transfer of ownership is much better! You do have it in your little head, young lady, there's some smarts for business there! I'll inform the Cabinet immediately!

In light of recent bid from the Daumann, Independent Miners Guild hereby increases it's monetary bid to 250 (two hundred fifty) billion credits, with the condition regarding South Shields in place.
