I personally would like nothing more than to ban people that do it, but theoretically its not exactly against the rules as they currently stand. It is pretty damn despicable though.
Quote:Also, about "2)", what gameplay rule? I've been picking apart the rule section and I couldn't find any "harming server gameplay" rule, they are all more specific. Besides, please explain how selling a weapon to someone, and then pirating them for the item is a breach of gameplay. It may be a breach of ethics, but morality among pirates is a different affair from morality among traders.
Within roleplay I cannot see any reason why it would not be acceptable. You deal with the black market, you get what it gives you.
You also should take into account your character's roleplay in that even the worst pirates tend to care about their reputation. If they rely on freeports to dock at, then they're going to have to make nice with Zoners (even if they're arms dealers). If they use junker bases, then they need to make nice with Junkers etc. Additionally, you might not need the services of the faction that your target is a member of at present, but sometime in the future you might, and it would be awful roleplay for you to rip off a junker and then kill him to get the stuff you sold him back again, and later on go docking on junker bases.

If you read them again you might find the following one:
Quote:1.2 Server administrators will impose sanctions on players for violating server rules and for any actions that harm server gameplay.
Yes, it's not one of the specific rules and so people tend to overlook it when they re-read the rules because they concentrate on the pvp and rp rules. But people have already been sanctioned for violation the mentioned one.
And intentionally ruining the fun of other players is in my opinion a way to harm the server gameplay.

Thank you for pointing it out, I'd completely missed it. I'd argue that "fun" is subjective. Having to defend a Codename I'd just shelled out huge bucks for and escape a pirate would be more fun to me than simply making a transaction. That's a personal thing though, and I wouldn't try to interpret a rule for admins. That's their job!

Please, for your own safety m8. Don't try it. Ive seen Hoodlum and Xoria sanction dozens of people for exploiting
the lack of concrete rules and harming sportsmanship in gameplay.
Personally, i think that abstract rule (even thou it's subjective) is one of the most important ones.
There are dozens of exploits (be it game mechanics or rule-loopholes) that many of us could abuse
but it harms other players on a personal level.
I think for pirating you need do choise :
I. 4 Dibilitators (if you corsair - 4 Colodas del Sid)
II. Only kodes. If you don't know for what faction you want to join, use 4 any kodes, if want to by them, write me PM;)
