After much debate within the Admiralty, the flagship of the fleet, HMS Pendragon will be relieved of the role of flagship with immediate effect, being replaced by the HMS Somerset as flagship of the Armed Forces. The Pendragon, a Dunkirk class battleship, was designated as flagship over a decade ago, and has long served as guardian of New London, fighting numerous actions against Gallic Royal Navy invaders, however the battle of New London was not kind to the ship, and the need for a state-of-the-art ship to replace her waas clear.
The Pendragon will be released to active service following a tour of Bretonia, and pending negotiations, neighboring houses and regions.
The Somerset represents the latest in advancements in Bretonian engineering and weaponry, and ships of the same class have already been tested in war, with the Rutland performing admirably in Edinburgh in the face of heavy opposition.
