Freelancer ID / IFF question

Okay, dropped almost 10 million in getting rid of all my fully green reps for my freelancer character. (Thank you, /droprep command)

NOW - Freelancer for him is still about the 6th one up, and isn't fully green even yet. Other than now only flying to a few parts of Sirius to take/drop missions (and/or kill assorted NPC's), there's still not a whole lot of ways to get the Freelancer IFF up, is there? I've been to Coronado and gotten the bribe already - will that come back at all?

The reason I'm asking is because with the new rules now in effect, it is still going to take quite a while to get that taken care of - and at least I won't have people asking me why there's a Bowex tagged Freelancer running around...

i hate to break it too you. but you should have gotten freelancers to full green before useing drop rep

but i doubt that anyone will care very much if you have a bowex id for a while.

Do lots of bounty hunter missions, that helps the freelancer rep.

And bribe zoner and BH. that raises freelancers rep, too.

After you have 9 green bars to that guys, then use xeno bribe first, then you have less factions to change.

It's made very simple now in .85 to get the freelancer iff. simply go to the new freelancer base and get a bribe, then go to a zoner base and get a zoner bribe. At this point freelancer IFF should be a full rep or pretty darn close to it. If it's not full, do some BH missions to make it full. Then do the drop rep stuff(when your freelancer rep is full).

Another way(cheap way) to get rid of rep and make sure freelancer is the IFF that gets the bottom slot once it's full is to drop missions on the reps that are between your active IFF and freelancer. All you really need is 1 mission abandoned to lower them enough(but do a few to be safe), once freelancer is in the second place, go drop missions on the active IFF till it's got the white and very light green bars left, undock and you should be done. However, with a new character you shouldn't need to drop any rep since it wont have much built up in any of the iff bars.

to think all that time spent doing BH missions in .84 then hours upon hours trying to get it on the bottom. was fun, sorry to see it become so easy to get now.

There is a double Freelancer bribe, if you know where to look. I won't spoil it for anyone though, but it got my Firefly from pretty much neutral to full green in two bribes.
