Prime Minister,

My department gets a copy of every message sent and received within the Ministry of Defence. Admiral Redmond's analysis of the situation is correct for the most part, but his statistics are a little off on account of operations conducted by the Secret Service, and with deniable assets.

Orkney is too well within Gallia's sphere of influence, and the presence of Issodun Shipyard is a major threat to our Tau efforts. I'm afraid a covert action of sufficent scale to change that would be too obvious.

Tau-29 belongs to kusari in anything but name by now, both Kishiro and Samura has well established bases. Armed Force recon squadrons shouldn't be in the area.

The Secret Service is interested in Tau-23, mostly because the abundant resources for project BALLISTA. Given the system is a hotspot for piracy, and there is a Liberty Security Force presence as well, we have refrained from deploying assets there, until either or more preferably both of these conditions cease to exist.

On a final note, you being kept out of this particular loop seems to be interesting matter, that demans further investigation. I have a hard time believing that Mr. Templer given out orders without a higher authority to order him to do so. He lacks ambition for such notions.
