Departments

As you may already be aware from our updated Information page, the entire Departments field has been reworked to better match the needs of the Republic and the resources that the LPI has access to.

The Blackwatch, PRISM and Logistics departments do not need any form of sign-up. The Logistics department is accessible for any officer should they meet the requirements needed. An officer is part of the Blackwatch or the PRISM departments the moment they use a shared or an owned capital vessel, erasing the need for any registration on these departments as well.

The Investigative and the Rangers departments are not openly accessible to all officers. In order for an officer to join these departments, they must apply by replying to this communication window using the provided format. Their applications will be then reviewed by the corresponding department head and the high command.

Lastly, the SWAT department is locked and officers may not apply for it, he only way to become part of the department is to be chosen by High Command and to pass the trials tied to your recruitment.

Officers wishing to apply for the Investigative department may do so at or after the rank of Police Officer.

Last but not least, officers willing to apply for the position of any department head will be required to fill in a different message format and forward it to this window for review by the high command.

Reasons to pick you: You don't become a Liberty Marshal without doing some investigative work and solving some crimes - which I did plenty of, even if the Service was only around for a short while. Remember that case on Los Angeles, where we ended up arresting two fools impersonating Rheinland diplomats? Probably not, paperwork ended up on Mallory's desk. Well, spent two months following leads and gathering evidence against those people, turned out to be a high society smuggling ring. Good times. Good arrests.

Anyway, someone's gotta head the department and looks like I'm the senior investigator around. Might even manage to get the department properly internalized, stop LPI from relying so much on third-party contractors.

I am most certain that your work in the LPI will be on the same level as your work in the Marshals was. That being said, I can't say I remember the specific case you're talking about. There were a lot of cases that I had to review and finalize and even out of these I can't remember all of them.

But that's outside the matter of this channel. Needless to say, your request to lead the Investigative department is accepted. I will see to it that your office receives the necessary upgrades you need to get the job done. For anything else you require, don't be shy; request it.
