I bid you a good day. The reason I contact you is to request a certain matter related to the latest project of the Naval Forces.

The last wars Kusari has been involved in have proved many times that our old doctrine is flawed. In spite of this, the new Decisive Battle focus we've had ever since the end of war with Gallia has improved our ability on the battlefield. To continue onto this, we have developed a new project is aimed at being the successor to the "Showa"-class. Unlike preceeding ones, design A-200 has a larger focus on long-range combat rather than the outdated close and medium range combat. We have hope that this will give us the edge in future wars and conflicts, be it with foreign or domestic threats.

I have attached the detailed plan below. As the main request behind this transmission, I wish to take command of the project and lead the first ship in this class, the Yashima, upon completion. If there are other changes required, inform me as soon as possible.

My contacts at Kure Shipyard already foretold me about a new project being planned.
It is a pleasure to witness the first steps towards the introduction of the "Yashima"-class.

The "Showa"-class has proven itself against Gallia, however a lot of its success boils down to the successful utilization of the Matsumoto in the now renowned "Hammer and Anvil" strategy. In the aftermath of the conflict, we learnt that a warship of the "Showa"-class only reaches peak efficiency when accompanied by a vessel capable to act as bait, at least in large scale engagements. In terms of mid-range offensive capabilities and speed, the "Showa"-class proved to be a force capable of outperforming most modern warships in a direct stand-off already, however, what you point out is in line with our analysts opinion: We lack a reliable long-range focused derivation of the Tokugawa hull.
Project G-134, the Nagato, the vessel I am the acting Commander of, was merely a long-range focused hybrid version of the "Genji"-class, similar to how the Matsumoto is an extensively modified vessel of the "Genji"-class too.
I have high expectations towards Project A-200, the integration of potential hybrid technology may further improve the already huge pool of variations and specializations the Tokugawa hull can offer.
Your wish to take command of the first "Yashima"-class is granted, you shall take command over Project A-200 and lead it to become a success of at least equal size as the introduction of the "Showa"-class.
I will curiously watch the Projects and your own development, Mitsuo-san.

I bid you a good day. My sincere apologies for the delay related to the completion of the Yashima. I shall ensure that such does not happen again.

With our newest warship standing tall and as a show of our Naval might, I am requesting transfer, as Yashima's Commanding Officer, to one of the battlegroups assigned to defend our nation.

The crew has underwent extensive training and eagerly hope to prove their worth into battle. I will await further instructions aboard the warship, whilst the last preparations are being handled as we speak.
